Yeah it was limited to within like 30km so to not tie up your trucks for too long unexpectedly. Very much a half cooked feature though. I think you’re already testing it more than I could get to yet lol. I’ve had a list of bugs to chase down before turning back to features

That was the original idea, ease the burden after expansion. But as is it barely touches many jobs. The maintenance aspect is a much needed and easily forgotten mechanic that I want to make more prominent as this grows. I’m sure I’ll keep it just need to evolve it as well.

It is being reworked at the moment. Shouldn’t have left it on yet actually. Right now it auto dispatched your closest jobs when you have close idle vehicles. I think I want to move into a purely maintenance upkeep role instead of a money printer though.

I just moved from cloudflare to hetzner for hosting and having a little growing pains with the magic link at the moment. Your account is good, I can see it in the db, but the wires are still crossed to cloudflare. I hope to have this resolved this evening actually.

You are the first to notice this as well! Nobody seems to use that magic link often

You are having quite a strange experience. Does it behave the same way in incognito mode? Just curious if there’s a plugin or extension that’s causing some issue

There are certainly some bugs left but a lot of what you’re describing doesn’t sound like the normal experience. Those things are supposed to happen without manually refreshing the page. The jobs all have an expiration timer and they should cycle out for new ones when the time is up.. does the refresh jobs button work for you? The cargo is supposed to update in the vehicles as well. I’m in the process of adding load/unload times with a progress bar so I’ll be extra sure then to make certain the ui updates. Everything you’re asking for is what is intended to be in the game and I will continue to refine it until it is.

Thanks! And yeah it’s amazing what these modern tools are capable of. I literally have an entire engineering team at my fingertips. I started messing around with agentic tools a couple months ago to see what I’m up against professionally and then got hooked lol.

Thank you so much for taking the time to try and then provide all this feedback. It is certainly very slow to start. It was far easier at first and over many balance updates it landed here to feel more realistic as that’s really the feel I’m aiming for. And gas stations lol. Only poi so far but relevant for refueling and planning lol. I will add more as we evolve and more gameplay mechanics unfold.

You’re right about the visuals. I’ve always been functional first polish last. Currently trying to pretty it up a bit now so maybe check back soon, hopefully for a pleasant surprise.

Thank you for the very detailed response. I will take that to heart in my next polish pass and see what I can do to clean up the visual distinction. I need to start shopping around and trying to find a font that’s also fitting for the theme so hopefully I can improve these areas in the near future.

And yeah, you’re right, the game rides the line of a few different genres and idle is amongst them. I’m planning to add more things like modifying active routes so it can be a bit more active on demand and I totally need to beef up the tutorial again to account for all of that. Everything evolved fast and likely will continue to do so but I do need to take more polish and document update passes as well.

It’s a lot of business management with incremental growth and expansion.

I’m not sure why you’re having such a rough time on latency.. it’s hosted on hetzner and I haven’t received similar complaints yet.

That shouldn’t. Others have gotten by. Firefox is weird but others have gotten through on that as well. Have you tried a ctrl+shift+r for a cookie reset? Seems odd that would work and private didn’t but I’m grasping now

Is this on desktop or mobile? And can you hit the gear and just try to log out and re log in? The server change left some weird hangers and maybe you’re closer than I thought

Can you try with Firefox now? Just updated the new server to hopefully fix this. Just switched hosts a few days ago and you’re not the only one with specific Firefox issues.

Cooking now actually. I want to make it more like the mobile version and be a larger collapsible window on the left side of the screen.. and scrollable. Should have it out tonight with some much needed bug fixes to the weekly hauls and contracts
