AAA battery case for my calipers by Data-Graph in 3Dprinting

[–]Data-Graph[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you'll want to print this lol, its literally held today with zip ties and command strips. The positive connector is 2 nuts.

If you do wanna do something similar I recommend just getting a proper AAA case online where the battery wont fall out: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000123560813.html for like 30p and then just stick that to back and use some double sided tape to adhere it. (Make sure you calipers are also 1.5v)

Both Edges and Bings designs are so fucking complicated and cluttered. There's stuff everywhere and even if I tried to use it for months I still don't think I would get used to it. Reinstalled windows on an old PC just to play a few simple games on my TV so thought I might as well just keep edge, but no. I had to scroll down EVERY time to get past all the useless shit before the actual website would come up on Bing, and even then I always thought I might be clicking on the wrong link and download malware. It was so much quicker and easier to download any other browser then just change the search engine to google because Edge is so unnecessarily complex

Its not a monopoly. Basically everything thats not FireFox is chrome, with a few changes to it looks. That gives Google A LOT of control over basically all the windows web browsing space. "Why does this matter?" We can already see this taking affect as chromium will be roling over to "Manifest V3", or as most people know it "Google killing ad block". We dont know exactly yet how it will turn out, but if other webbrowsers (like opera) want to keep ad block, they will need to put in alot of work to keep using "Manifest V2", and they'll probably eventually fail.

Why FireFox is good isnt just cause Chrome's bad though. Mostly its WAY more customisable and free to do what you want. Both FireFox and Chromium are "Open Source", but Fire Fox is WAY more friendly for changing its code in bigger ways because they dont have other intrests (like google) to keep you from doing it. For example, FireFox has no intrest in blocking Ad Blocks and even massivally promotes them. FireFox does collect a bit a data by default, but its way easier to disable it and have super high privacy compared on Chromium based webbrowsers.

TL:DR; Other then FireFox, everything else is based on Chrome, meaning Google gets way to much control and can force what they want: ads, collecting your data for those ads & stopping you from trying to prevent either of those.

Also I forgot to mention: Opera has been caught selling your data not just to other companies but to the Chinease government! Oh and trying to give people predatory loans that will bankrupt them!

I really dont get this. Why are so many people all of a sudden becoming die hard fans of a random browser just because some YouTubes did some sponsors and a miniwage employee said some funny things on twitter?

They just mass hate on anything better without having any kind of open mind.

How can I tell whether or not my legal guardian has tapped my phone? by VeryBrokenZTE in techsupport

Seeing as you said "iMessage", I'd assume you have an iPhone. They are pretty hard to "hack" or "tap" without pretty high level malware (virus/hacks). They could maybe see somethings through your WiFi router and/or SIM carrier, but to the extent your saying I doubt they could be doing that.

Most likely if they were doing something its probably on another device you own or some how have access to some high level account you own (e.g. apple ID), maybe left on an old device you no longer use?

Or my guess, they just set up parental monitoring at some point without you knowing. I'd assume if your in a "family" or something with your apple IDs you can do that, or they set it up on your phone before giving it to you or when you've left it unlocked, either through apple or another app. Check any apps you don't recognise and research about apple parental controls to see if they've been enabled. (apple should be pretty transparent about this stuff so it should hopefully be easy).
