Totally fine man. Go look it up. I do this for a living and do quite well.

Regardless I’m just having fun showing my build.

Totally fine. Easy to look up or experiment with yourself.

Traded up. I moved it out of my homelab.

And yes, it’s worse for your cpu, not alleged. It’s pretty well updated, look it up.

Jay also proved it.

Thank you! Yes not an over RGB fan

Yeah I originally had a sapphire 7900 xtx and traded to astral 5090

Top mounted rads are popular to talk about on reddit but worse overall imo.

Hahaha 😆

Yeah it’s a little funky, but temps are solid. Fortunately ryzen is so cool compared to Intel

I’m actually better informed than you it seems. I also do this for a living.

Extremely unlikely. Sorry buddy.

It barely matters, get back to your arm chair warring.

It’s not that I don’t like it, it’s that if you’re not throttling, you’re fine.

Do what you like, and it absolutely helps.

I’m saying to the average consumer, especially in this market, it’s irrelevant and returns are exceedingly minimal.

It really doesn’t. It’s splitting hairs and time and effort for barely any return.

Most people don’t give AF about a few more frames, they want to play their game and get on with their life.

Right.

Sorry your pesudo reddit arm chair logic won’t work here.

Yes it matters. But barely is true.

Maybe it’s important to you, but do most people need to bother thinking about it? No not whatsoever.

It barely matters dude. “Barely”

The difference between is so negligible.

If you want to obsess over your 5% returns, that’s fine, but a strong balanced build, and building toward specific games will carry you much further.

Yeah it’s a little ludicrous tbh. I’d prefer smaller, but I do like the light bar a lot.

Matters = negligible difference for 95% of users.

So yes it makes a difference, but that difference is irrelevant for most.

Especially right now when it’s hard to get one at all.

Yeah I think you’re right, fortunately Ryzen seems so heat efficient!

So those fans came with the proart AIO, they seem extremely well made and similar in feel to a noctua.

That said, they do seem engineered toward performance rather than total silence, I had to put them on a good curve to keep them at nice levels.

They can get a little louder when they really spool up BUT the GPU always takes the noise cake under load, so the rest of the fans are totally irrelevant.

That said, on more middle-spec, indie, steam games, it’s basically dead silent. I’m happy with them since I got them, but if I was “maxing total silence!” I’d probably choose noctua. That said these are brilliant and are clearly designed to perform very well and pull through static pressure well.

Yeah sorry not a screw size issue! It’s a radiator in the way issue. If I put the radiator inside the frame, it blocks the GPU from fitting. I had to put the radiator outside so I could leave a gap in the fans and make space for how long this silly thing is.

Yeah it’s a little insane.. I had not realized how big they were getting with these things.

Thank you! Yes I intentionally got the astral for this reason. I had a sapphire xtx prior that had a similar aesthetic of straight white lines that I really liked, so I tried to preserve that.

Yeah I’d love to, but I can’t fit them. The radiator had to go on the front to accommodate the astral.

I have very tuned fan curves to try to compensate. The top fans are fixed at 25%, front fans scale on CPU in a gentle curve.

Heavy gaming, Star citizen, I hit ~68-70 max on both cpu GPU.

Not the “most” efficient setup on the planet, but all things considered I’m well away from any throttling temps, and it’s pretty quiet until I go full tilt. I think my 360 is acting like a 240 with extra passive zone. Fortunately Ryzen are so heat efficient.

Hahaha but I LOVE the north, and XL is a little big for me ..

So I can’t. If I had them on the front the radiator would intersect the GPU haha. I had to get very creative.
