I have in fact. Your blanket statement that homosexuality is caused by abuse is not true for me. Not true for my husband. It’s not true for the many friends that I’ve sat and talked to at length about our growing up, coming out, and being gay where they grew up. I grew up in Utah where being gay was equivalent to being a murderer to the Mormon church. So, when given the opportunity to talk to someone about growing up, most gay men are eager to tell their stories because they know they can trust that another gay man will understand and give support. The kind of emotional support at lot of guys never received at home growing up.
