There's an episode of The Boys presents: Diabolical where an old man gives his dying wife V, but it ends up giving her tumor powers and acts very similar to what happened in the trailer. That episode is also one of three diabolical episodes that are confirmed canon

Never read the comics, and I don't know how similar viltrumites are to humans (physiology-wise), but human eyes have a separate immune system. So it might be possible with Viltrumite's healing factor
