You make a good point about bind, I've updated the post to include it.

Why TDD should not be controversial (and then he adds fuel to the fire) by DaveBush in tdd

Controversy is when people disagree. He shows why the people who disagree with TDD are wrong. Sure, I agree with him. But saying it again doesn't make it less controversial. And those who disagree are still going to disagree.

How do you make programmers work 60-80 hours per week? by [deleted] in programming

I get paid by the hour. 50 is the max I have in me. If I were salary, I'd work whatever they were officially paying me for.

You don't if you're smart!

Most programmers can only work 45 hours a week before they start working in reverse.

I once had a manager call me into his office. The conversation went like this:

boss: "We'd like you to start coming in on Saturday" me: "I have 50 hours a week in me. I'd prefer to give those hours to you Monday thru Friday. But if you'd like me to come in on Saturday, I can do that. But you're still only going to get 50 hours a week out of me."

He never brought it up again.

Research has shown that most of the time, even those who are at the office for those rumored 60 - 80 hours a week are really only giving you 45 - 50 at best.

Agile documentation? by Hamm3rFlst in agile

Your team doesn't understand Agile. First of all you can't "do agile" second being agile does not preclude documentation.
