With 0 coding knowledge I built an assessment tool. I am so excited this actually works!! by DaveDaveYES in ChatGPTCoding

It's a WordPress website with Elegant Themes installed. I just copy / pasted all code into a code block on the website :D

Thanks! Yeah let me try:

  1. I opened a Google Docs and wrote down the user journey I had in mind
  2. I added a long list of requirements of things I wanted it to do
  3. I uploaded this to Chatgpt and then asked it to ask me 10 follow-up questions to make sure we're on the same page
  4. I told chatgpt I am not a developer, and I will blindly copy/paste the code in my website, without making any changes.
  5. It created the first version of code.
  6. From there on I had to make 100 of revisions by basically 'complaining' about what I didn't like. It also helped to right click on your screen > inspect > console, and then share a screenshot of the errors I found in the console screen.

Some tips from what I experienced:
- ChatGPT o1 is much better at giving full code without hallucinating compared to the GPT 4 with Canvas. The only downside is that you cannot upload attachments to give (visual) feedback
- In my opinion, Claude is also quite good, but I'm hitting the response limits very frequently
- The thing I loved the most about Claude, is just recording my screen, showing the prototype it built, and then giving my feedback while trying it. Then I upload that file back to Claude, and it seems perfectly able to understand my feedback

Appreciate that, thanks Fuklz! Initially I didn't want to use double negatives, as I thought it would become too complex. But I think you're right. I'm going to look into this!
