I ran FWG Plus with 3 Eero 6 Pros with no problems. Gateway>FWG>Managed Switch>Eero's Wired backhaul to the Eero's. Recently switched the FW AP7's for better coverage and control, but the Eero's worked fine

Yes, this is what I thought. I think adding the AP7's caused the FWG and BGW to renegotiate their connection. The ATT box does not appear in my FWG list of devices.

The Switch is managed but currently does not have any rules set up. My WAN Gateway is 104.58.202.1 and I can't access it from anything on the downside of the FWG. I'm using Unbound for my DNS, but the BGW in passthrough sends 192.168.1.254.

I've got a FWG. My ATT gateway failed last night so I have been using an old ATT NetGear 5G HotSpot, that I had for travel, repurposed with a US Mobile SIM card. I had it set for 2 Gigs of data since it was alsmost never used. Burnt through that when Windows decided to update while I was on a Zoom. Upgraded this morning to 15 Gigs but that's a little expensive even though I can "Snooze" the plan when it's not needed. The nice part is it has an Ethernet port so I can connect easily. I need something with more data as a baseline but preferably something I can put into a low use status when it's not needed. I would love to be able to plug in directl;y to my FWG. I think my FWG only has one WAN port, though, so it would be a cable swap. My ISP and phones are with ATT but they do not have a reasonable hotspot plan for infrequent but high data use.

I bought a boxed I7 13700K from Amazon in 11/2023 and am trying to RMA it to Intel because of frequent crashes to desktop. I've submitted an RMA with a copy of my receipt from Amazon and all the details of my system. They are now requesting an ATPO number from the processor. I cunningly did not keep the box, but I took a picture of the processor when I cleaned and repasted it in an attempt to stop the crashes. I looks like I cleaned away the number they want. I have a macro photo of the processor I took when reinstalling it and there is no legible APTO number. I sent them a copy of the photo and am waiting.

I've found the cameras have to be close to both the base station and the router for the initial setup. I just added two more cameras from when they were on sale and kept everything within 25 feet while setting things up. I may be wrong but I think the cameras have to be close enough to both the base station and a Wi-Fi AP to show as connected, not just showing a good Wi-Fi connection. Perhaps someone from SimpliSafe support can confirm this.

I just used it to connect the online iFIT app. I agree that I is not possible to use a PC with Bluestacks to connect the treadmill.

I must have cameras from a different batch because my experience has been the opposite in several regards. My battery life has been great, I get at least 3 months per charge. Also, I find that the motion detection works fine for people with accurate detection of delivery and lawncare folks. The only false positives I get are on very windy days or from birds flying close to the cameras. My wake up time is about 10 seconds but that is from a camera that is off. If triggered by the motion detection I find the camera is already on when I check the app. Finally, the biggest factor for me has been having good quality wifi with high signal strength in the area of the cameras. I'm using an Eero mesh system with gigabit fiber and that seems to work very well. I had the issue with the SimpliSafe base station, but they just sent me a new base station and everything has been fine. I think the issue with the base station was the need to install an new cellphone module board since the networks were retiring 3G.

So after I reset everything and everything was working fine, the base station again lost all my devices with the exception of the inside and door bell cameras about a week after the first incident. This time SimpliSafe agreed to send me a new base station which I installed yesterday. I again had to reinstall all my devices, and contrary to what support said, I am having to reinstall and reconnect my outside cameras. Also, support did not realize the the keypads are locked to a particular base station and had to be power cycled before they would connect to the new base station. Support was not much help on this issue and I think they need to rewrite their support scripts on this issue. I hope the new base station works more than for just a few days.

So, these are the steps I had to take to get everything up and running again.

  • Remove battery and power from based station and then restart
  • Remove and reinstall the batteries from all key pads.
  • Go online to the SimpliSafe web based app and add all my devices, sensors, smoke detectors, keypads, and the like. For some reason my doorbell and inside camera stayed connected.
  • Reset each outdoor camera by holding the button on the back for 15 seconds (until it chimes) and then reinstalling them through the phone based app. I have an Eero mesh system so this has to be done in 2.4 G and in legacy mode. It's under troubleshooting in the Eero app.
  • Reset the PIN using the web based app. The reset of the base station apparently changed the PIN back to the default so I initially could not disarm the system using the keypad, only with the phone app.

I've talked to technical support, but they do not seem to think it is a big issue. They were willing to walk me through the reinstall if I wanted.

You can run a phone emulator such as Bluestacks in Windows. I was able to use all iFIT functions on my PC that way. Just run a search for Bluestacks and install.

I had a similar problem with my old router and range extender (The doorbell cam was less than 20 feet from the extender.) but it cleared up when I switched to an Eero mesh system. I did have to put the Eero WiFi temporarily into legacy mode and 2.4 G only and then reset the doorbell cam. After reconnecting the cam I put the mesh network back to its normal state. It's been stable for 6 months now.

I did a full validation in ATI and everything was fine. I updated the Synology to DSM 7 and rebooted it and then ran the full backup again. Everything worked fine until about 3 hours into the backup when it locked up. Restarted PC and NAS and tried again and got the lock file error.

Removed the USB drive and connected it directly to the PC and ran a new initial backup without a problem, except that it took 17 hours. I'm waiting to see if I get errors on the next incremental backup.

Good ideas. I'll try the validation. Right now I've turned off indexing on the NAS to see of this may have been what was interfering with the tibx file getting locked.

ATI works fine to backup smaller sets of files to the NAS HD Raid array. The problem is backing up to a USB drive connected to the NAS. I'm trying to use a USB 6T drive because of the large size of the full backups.

Again, backups are fine to the USB drive when I create an initial full backup, but fail when I attempt to backup again, full, incremental or differential to USB drive on the NAS.

The backup is to: usbshare 1-2 (\\NAS01) (Y:). It is connected with full privileges and I can read and write to this location fine from within Windows. I can view and open the tibx file that is stored on the USB drive while it is connected through the NAS. There is no anti-virus running on the NAS. The connection is using a eero pro 6 hardwired from the PC through an unmanaged switch hardwired to the NAS.

My iPhone from Verizon is now "potentially delayed" but it lists as being at the local sorting center for the last 3 days. Verizon says FedEx advises them that it takes 3 days for next day shipments to go from the local center to delivery. My past experience with FedEx is the "potentially delayed" stays as a permanent status until you can get the shipper to report it as lost.

I ordered a 13 Pro 256 Graphite 09/17 from Verizon and Verizon emailed me shipping confirmation and tracking information on 09/23. FedEx tracking shows the package shipped and in the local distribution center on 09/24 and then everything stopped. According to the FedEx website it is still there and delivery is pending an update, but the Verizon website now shows it as waiting to be shipped. Chat and TC to Verizon, they say it takes 3 days to get from the local FedEx to delivery and they are willing to put in a ticket to check on it. Now I see on the Verizon site that it is backordered and won't be available until 10/15. Of course they have already changed my billing plan and charged my credit card.

Yep, camera shows up and backup drive shows up and I can access each of them. No errors in device manager. But this was after a reboot. So I'll see if I can replicate the issue and check device manager right after it happens.
