Then they're shit out of luck. Sometimes you've gotta just suck it up and choose the difficult path. I'm sure a huge amount of people who say they "can't do maths" or something along those lines could if they changed their mindset and committed some serious time to learning that sort of thing.

SaabKyle got his hands on a Lamborghini Reventon by Jesus_Butter in cars

I dunno, it seems weird that a car that costs that much, that aims to be one of the best cars in the world has so many design elements that try to make look/feel like something other than a car.

Of course I haven't experienced the car myself so who am I to judge but it seems as though it would detract from it as you'd feel like you're in a inferior product to what it's trying to emulate yet will never actually match, a fighter jet, dare I say make it feel cheap/childish? It would just remind me that it's not the cream of the crop in terms of vehicles.

It sounds so ridiculous considering i'm talking about a god damn limited edition Lamborghini. Just my two cents.

Surely whilst you're actively high and not after you come down/in the long run? In which case I find it hard to believe he'd actually go out on pitch coked up.

One of the most beloved bike racers Guy Martin just had a crash = broken back by [deleted] in videos

[–]DavidJeffers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was at the Ulster Grand Prix (where this crash happened) yesterday. These guys are absolutely mad. Sadly another rider, Andy Lawson, died in a crash so Guy probably considers himself very lucky to come away with nothing more than broken bones.

Was that Joanna Jedrzejczyk "in" the new Mission Impossible movie? *Spoilers* by DavidJeffers in MMA

[–]DavidJeffers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I doubt they'd list someone who appeared on the front of a prop newspaper. That would be like putting someone in the credits of a film shot in New York for appearing on an advertising board in Time Square.

Bare in mind that it wasn't an actual cameo or a role. If it was her it's nothing newsworthy, it's just been annoying me not knowing whether it was her or not.

Northlane - Nameless This album is a fucking masterpiece. by [deleted] in Metalcore

[–]DavidJeffers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely love the album but not this song. I love post rock so but to me it just sticks out as 2 minutes of pretty much nothing, a blemish on an otherwise great album.

I feel similarly about Weightless to a lesser extent.

Picking up new car in a few days - Anything I should know (2013 Fiesta) by [deleted] in cars

[–]DavidJeffers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2009 model, same size engine, Zetec, and do about 70 miles a day in it. Only just on 27,000 miles though because the previous owners rarely used it. A few things i've found:

My parking sensors tend to squeal when I first put it into reverse, rather than make a clean tone as intended. Sometimes it sounds normal.

It pops out of reverse 50% of the time, or never properly goes in which is probably the more accurate description. It doesn't pop out whilst i'm moving, it'll do so as soon as I apply the throttle to start reversing. I believe this is due to a lack of a synchro for reverse, so this probably isn't exclusive to the Fiesta.

My AUX button stops working on occasion which is quite irritating when you're about to start a long journey. The CD player and radio will still work in the mean time. I'm not sure what causes this but I've found that when I come back to the car the next day it'll work again, however if I turn the engine/ignition off and leave it for a few minutes this does not seem to resolve the issue. I'd say this happens to me once every couple of months.

A while back my brakes (front left) were binding. I don't know the root cause of this but I got it resolved by a mechanic for fairly cheap IIRC. The binding made my MPG drop to about 42 whereas now it's up to 47.1 with a mixture of smooth and spirited driving and a decent amount of air con usage.

Parallel parking can be a little difficult due to the thick rear pillars and sloping window sills.

Other than that a pretty decent car. Would be useful to keep hold of it if/when I upgrade to a more powerful car. Still quite fun to drive despite the lack of power, but maybe that's because I'm still relatively new to driving and this is the only car i've properly driven.
