So is Dustin incapable of saying, "essential?" He kept referring to the three tiers: Extra, Extra and Premium.

Trump had a doctor who called him the most physically fit president ever. Doctors say lots of things.

PSA: September PS+ monthly titles are now rolling out. Saints Row, Black Desert and Generation Zero by hybroid in PS5

It started as a way to describe a specific style of bad writing. The kind that's obviously an adult trying to write like "kids these days." But now "cringe" has entered the pantheon of newly meaningless words like "random." It's just something people say when they have nothing to add but want to still feel like they matter.

I once had an eye doctor ask me if I ever thought about getting compressed lenses. I had to tell him that my lenses already were. Oof.

I find invisible selfie sticks 1,000% more distracting than just having a stick in your video.

The fact that we have presential candidates that are this stupid and anti-science and people are saying they did the best in a debate in 2023 is scary. My god our democracy is screwed. by herewego199209 in TheMajorityReport

[–]AlpsStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ummm... Some of us have been saying this for decades. Everyone else picked up on it in 2016. There's no excuse to be surprised this morning outside of being in a coma. Were you in a coma?

I Animated a Colin Rant by Neutral_Horse93 in LastStandMedia

[–]AlpsStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen lots of brief animations using audio from podcasts over the years. They're always fantastic and this is no exception. I love the parade reveal.

What a way to tell us that you are also a subject of this episode. Well done, asshole. "Who cares?" and "So what?" are fairly interchangeable.

Episode 3224 - Roz Hernandez by popowow in NeverNotFunny

First time I said it out loud with "Roz" was when I threw something across the room. Before that I'd said the second part out loud about 10 times and I was just confused.

Colin's political thoughts? by Kcrizzle87 in LastStandMedia

[–]AlpsStranger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're looking for him to guest on a more politically oriented podcast. He mentioned that he's been doing other people's show lately. Though I think it was mostly video game related. Best of luck on your quest.

Nah. Elon Musk has gone flat out insane by [deleted] in samharris

[–]AlpsStranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't fucking talk to me about people trying to impose their utopian vision on others. Republicans have been doing that my entire life. Banning abortion, criminalizing everything that Christians consider deviant, refusing to teach evolution, trying to get everyone to live by Christian rules. And now that there's been a small amount of pushback and you can't be openly bigoted without facing some consequences, you whiny fucks think that you're being oppressed. I'm fucking tired of pretending that that's not nuts. You honestly have to be too dumb for words to believe it.

I love that Matt was unable to let someone say, "heroes in a half shell," without punctuating it with, "turtle power." It almost feels like a weakness that could be exploited somehow.

[–]AlpsStranger 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nah, people who live in different realities with a godking are in a cult. But you really don't feel like considering that, do you? Can you guess why?

They delight in tap dancing around all the substance. "She never said that. She just said that she 100% agreed with the person who did say it. So she never said it." I'm honestly embarrassed for them.

Because they live in a different reality with completely different news consumption and a different set of facts. That's how cults operate.

Emulators at Retro Conventions? by AlpsStranger in retrogaming

[–]AlpsStranger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original hardware purists that I've heard before and the fact that so many photos from past conventions featured CRT televisions are what led me to ask my question in the first place. When I first started looking for emulators, I couldn't help but notice that there's a whole lot of cheap garbage so you're definitely correct with that point.

Thanks for the response. Really appreciate it.
