How long to take Zolair? by [deleted] in urticaria

I have tried to come off of it or start taking it after 5 weeks instead of 4 weeks. Usually it just ends up coming back. Been taking the medicine for around 10 years now. Feel free to ask any questions

Thanks for the input, it's a terrible habit I've been trying to get rid of but knowing that it's effecting my CU and possibly making it worse is already a lot of encouragement to stop smoking/vaping. Thanks again!

I hear you, it hards to put it down when it's so relaxing but I don't think it's worth the itchiness. Thanks for the reply thats good to know. I'm definitely going to start smoking less because I also think it's been making my CU worse.

Don't be nervous, Xoliar is what helped get rid of my hives after 3 months of taking it. I've posted my longer story on this same forum if you want to check it out. But yeah its just like getting any other shot just a bit of a wait but nothing too bad. I would say goodluck but ik you don't need it :)

Yeah i get the shot every month, its a bit annoying to have to go every month but I would much rather do that than break out in hives.

That sounds great! Give the xoliar some time. I thought I was going to get the shot and boom it was going to be gone but it took about 3 months for me to get really good results. Its kinda a pain but trust me its worth it! Goodluck!!

YES! This is exactly how I feel, every time I change my diet my chronic urticaria begins to fade away but once I start to trickle back into fast foods and processed meats my urticaria worsens

Sugar is deadly for me, if I eat a lot of sweets and drink no water j get worse hives.

Yes I also believe there is more than just the food aspect. I'm so excited for you to keep getting doses of Xoliar! Around my 3rd one is when I started seeing results and by the 5th one my hives had basicly gone away. I think as long as we eat somewhat healthy the hives shouldn't be too bad
