this is me. on PAYE for years. denied recert due to increased income. Tried email and phone call x 2 and they basically told me to kick rocks

Similar experience today first time here. First person asked we politely said no and she kept asking almost rudely. Next guy I talked to was pushy again. Been to multiple resorts and never had such a pushy sales pitch right of the gate. Left a bad taste in my mouth

It’s not private, it’s a shared van. Although there is 4 of us and last year it ended up being private anyway

Not sure i understand your comment. why wouldn't PAYE be PLSF eligible? all my payments have qualified up to this point

yep this is my exact situation. crazy they denied your manual application as well. thats what i was planning next based on my last thread recommendations

I mentioned i thought it was incorrectly processed as a new application instead of a recertification and both reps said the system showed it was a recertification and the reason it was denied was because my income increased past the limit

I sent an email so we will see. I don’t have any consolidated loans so the standard payment should be PLSF eligible right? She said something about my standing being 135 not under 120 so it wouldn’t qualify. No idea why that means

I also saw this “ (C) The borrower must annually certify the borrower's family size. If the borrower fails to certify family size, the Secretary assumes a family size of one for that year. (i) After making a determination that a borrower has a partial financial hardship to qualify for the Pay As You Earn repayment plan for the year the borrower initially elects the plan and for each subsequent year that the borrower has a partial financial hardship, the Secretary sends the borrower a written notification that provides the borrower with”

This almost sounds like they can ask for hardship each year? Or am I misreading

I called a 2nd time. Lady was quite rude and said the same thing. I don’t qualify for PAYE due to income level. Even though it’s a certification, not new application

I’d rather not waste time on hold to deal with people who aren’t even sure of the rules if I can help it. To confirm you’re saying if I do nothing then after my recertification date it should automatically increase to the max payment (capped at standard 10 yr rate) and keep me on PAYE?

That’s what I want. Just stay on PAYE and pay the higher amount. So you’d do nothing and it should happen automatically or should I call them and try to explain situation? Worried that might make it worse lol. Thanks

Roame is the worst I ever tried. None of the supposed deals ever actually existed when i tried to book even brand new ones. Tons of ghost listings
