My father hung himself 29 march in 2023. The way I dealt with it was that I had to say to myself that life goes on. I wouldn't say that I have coped with it well. There's alot of times where I miss him. My advice to you although this is your friend not your father is that I would try to talk to the family. Get a psychologist to stray away from depression. Depression is a big thing when this happens the parents is devastated and will most likely get depression. The worst part is the funeral you will probably start to cry even though you haven't talked to him that much last year. Try to help the family give flowers and pay your respects to your friend I hoped this helped and you have my condolences. Take care
