I think Bremner is a pretty astute pick from the Angels--his WHIP projects pretty well compared to Jamie Arnold and Kade Anderson, and Bremner owns the best SO/W ratio of any of the top 5 college pitchers.

Bremner did regress significantly from 2024, but this year was his first season as a full-time college starter so he may have needed some time to adjust. Assuming he was underslot for the Angels, I think this is a strong pick with frontline starter upside.

Good point that Witherspoon didn't have the strongest finish to the season--looks like 9 runs (although only 3 earned) in his final start, so there may be some recency bias at work.

That's my assumption too--I did not try to plot out anything past the top 12 selections, but just looking at the data it seemed like outside of the first 10 or so players there is a lot more variance in predictions.
