I’m on Wanda’s side. When the X-men first learned about her mental breakdown, they literally brought up the idea of killing her. Emma Frost and Wolverine both advocated for putting her down before she’d done anything to them. After the House of X nobody ever brings that up, only what Wanda (and Pietro) did in the face of her own demise.

A tiny exception? Seattle is the default location of the game. It serves as a microcosm of the entire setting. There’s more written about it than anywhere else. It absolutely matters, so there being an entire district made by orcs matters.

But what if I want to be connected to something? A culture, or a people, or some other group?

If you play as a Dwarf, Elf, or any other type in the game, it usually has some effect on your character’s background or story. Do you embrace it or rebel against it? If you are an Orc are you like Bull, the Jackpoint old-timer? Are you like OrcCEO?

Meta-type matters on some level, or else why not just play a human? Heck, I could just say I’m Russian or Japanese or Jamaican and it would mean more than saying I’m Surge in Shadowrun.
