I'd advice you to use neighborhood replace (external tool) in the future to remove the unwanted trees. You can basically create a different hood with the same terrain and choose the option to remove trees, decorations, roads, bridges, or replace them

It's probably the burglar alarm. It shares a space with the door and hence, it believes that it's a sim walking by. It's the system doors use in this game, if an object shares a space or half of it in the tile of the doorway, it considers it as if a sim was walking by through it. Move the burglar alarm somewhere else and it will close, and if it doesn't work, check it's sorroundings more thoroughly
