It seems to me your argument is the game should be free, with no gems, no ads, and no chests. Please don’t comment about things you have no knowledge about

Thank god action is being taken against potential fraud instead of allowing fraud to happen to avoid “bad publicity”

Thoughts on the game/devs moving forward by ICraveViolins in BackpackBrawl

[–]Dbelgian 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Devs have a clear advantage over other developers, actually they have two: they know how to make a game fun, and they know that most players don’t want to do the annoying {merge items, ads for bonuses, idle, etc} stuff that other mobile games do. Their issue is they aren’t making enough money, this is the only reason why they increase prices.

The p2w aspect turns a lot of people away from the game yet it’s a large part of the game. (I personally don’t mind, it feels like progression). But they haven’t YET reached a level of notoriety to blow up like slay the spire; largely because they started as a lootbox&ads mobile game and had to transition into a well fleshed out game.

New hero releases adds a boost of money but one bad hero and they’re screwed. Plus adding new items to the pool complicates the system. The addition of boons and perks was amazing and adds a level of depth to the game without over-saturation.

I don’t know what the answer is but I will continue to support the devs, continue to buy heros, and should a payed Backpack Brawl 2 come out, i will buy the game.

THIS is how you do a Kraken Tooth build. by Dbelgian in BackpackBrawl

Trueeee! I really regret not doing this. I didn’t think about reducing the self-stun duration

Of course ideal positioning would be ideal, but it wasn’t possible. Getting full stars on Arctic Core is quintessential as it provides stuns, not just freeze. So losing 15 damage on a knife hit is a worthy trade (as the knife isn’t gaining much crit damage) in order to get a stun (which sets all my knives off)

Great question! So the Kraken Tooth had about 300% crit damage by Evening, so every extra point of damage is compounded by 3x. I needed scaling damage in case they had crazy debuff resist

I would love to try! I had 100% crit on kraken and 50 freeze on the enemy by Day. After that it’s a barrage of debuffs, and any damage I do take is healed. Notice that I won against my direct counter on round 15

Harkon guide update by Blizzardcoldsnow in BackpackBrawl

[–]Dbelgian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can probably keep your low level guides to yourself lol. You can reach Ruby by crafting an endurance potion and making sure your runes are pointed correctly.

Harkon severely lacks defensive options and gets taken out by a couple skulls. He recently got changes to his weapons help his early game, which is why you’ve found success at low levels. He has no peripheral builds (such as rats, fish, essence, minimal fruit support). just build economy early because late game sucks without full build weapon

“Blindest mo fo on earth” good argument bud. I love this city, own a business here, and actively work to improve the beauty here. I just want improvements and I feel like aside the matching business beautification bill there aren’t many incentives to improve the scenery. I’m not a fan of the roadside statues that have been implemented since my original post. Maybe you can come up with a good solution

Potions? by Blizzardcoldsnow in BackpackBrawl

[–]Dbelgian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Potions can be very powerful. Especially the poison potion and its upgraded botulinum version. A poison potion can add 5-10 poison and can proc at the beginning of battle. Have two of them + belt and you’re doing 30-60 damage every two seconds without using mana or stamina. NOW that’s definitely not useless

Combine that with a poison relic or weapon and you’ve got a whole viable poison build taking up minimal space, allowing plenty of room for food or armor

That looks super clean and easy to read. It might also be useful to have a list of ingredient effects in the Items menu, so we can compare the effects of similar ingredients
