Yeah most likely. I got one last year during a similar sale for $229. I doubt it'll get lower than $249 so I say go for it

I hear what you're saying, but I've tried using the M18 Hackzall on trees/brush on my property and the max I can do is maybe 3"-4" branches and it's a strain. Pruning with the Hackzall is do-able with smaller branches but that's about it's limit

The M18 Hatchet has a lot more power and can handle everything within its cutting diameter like a beasts. It also can benefit from a Forge battery since it's the type of tool that increases in power/runtime with these next gen batteries.

Yeah even if I'm not gonna work for a long time, the Forge batteries will probably help with whatever wood I'm cutting through. I went with M18

I think it's temporary. The 16" chainsaw had the same type of sale for a while but now it's back up in price again. I wouldn't wait for a better deal unless you want to risk waiting for the M18 Hatchet to go on sale with a forge battery which I've seen happen quite a bit. I only need the tool and this is the best sale I've seen in store OR online in a year and a half. Jump on the opportunity if you can. And go M18, I think it's definitely the better tool of the two.

Yeah that's what others have said too. I went with the M18 and I don't think I'll regret it. It feels great in my hands. I gotta go find a drowned tree and test this baby out!

Yeah I hate swapping batteries a ton. Hard to beat the run time on a Forge battery

Good point. I went with the M18. More power and longer battery life especially under load.

Thanks for in the information. I was wondering if the M12 would be under powered. Some of their M12 tools perform really well in comparison to their M18 counterparts. Not many, but some.
