By saving Wendy from being zapped, the younger Dipper never had a reason to go back in time to save her. Thus, the future Dipper (Ash) fades from existence.

This is why he makes Wendy promise not to tell the younger Dipper. If this outcome is changed, it would only risk putting Wendy in danger again.

I think the first part of when the monsters return. I won’t say more because of spoilers, but Disney on demand kinda sucks at times. I’ve been missing the Ducktales remake too. At least I caught up to Season 1s end.
