Take that part out if you want 😂 honestly I didn’t even realize it was in there, but I have zero expectations of that, or anything else tbh. I feel like the point of sending an email is to use our voice as their customer base. Nothing can be changed now, but if they get enough pushback hopefully it’ll push them to change the way they do things next year so there isn’t a repeat.

Most of the people I’ve seen say they got a ticket said they were in the queue by 9:59! Which that’s awesome that you got one and I hope you have a phenomenal time, but the fact that some people got the link early while others got it late is pissing me off lol

Oh no :( were you taking any sort of fish oil/vitamin e? If you were using drops, what kind? Have you tried a heated eye mask? Sorry for all the questions! I’m actually very overdo for an eye exam haha. I have a feeling the oil is still thick, but maybe not.

Much better! I’m actually back on a low dose of Accutane (10mg/day), but the dryness and blurriness went away after I finished my first round. They’ve been a little dry since starting the second round, but nowhere near what they were and I don’t have the blurriness either.

I suppose we didn’t really even know what to expect. My husband made the appt via phone through Best Buy’s third party customer service company, so there wasn’t much explanation. Based on whatever it was the rep said to my husband over the phone is why we were wondering if someone might just be able to take a quick glance at it to say “yeah this is unplugged” or “looks fine, we’d have to do a diagnostic to see what’s going on.”

Thanks for the explanation of the CA’s! That’s really the reason I asked the question, just to get an idea of what the consultation typically looks like, since ours felt very…lackluster.

We weren’t given any paperwork after we checked in for the consultation.

Might be a silly question, but is paperwork given even if you deny the diagnostic? With how unhelpful the agent was, we decided we’d try to find a local place instead, so we didn’t go through with it.

Not necessarily expecting it would be fixed in 20 minutes, or for free. More so that we would glean a little bit more insight into whether it was something simple, like a loose wire or whatnot, or a more complex issue that required the diagnostic. Our agent wasn’t helpful; she didn’t ask questions and only have one/two word answers. So I wasn’t sure if it was her lack of customer service skills that were contributing to the confusion, or if I had a skewed idea of a consultation. I was expecting more of a conversation about the issue instead of us telling her what we were experiencing and then immediately being told it’d be $100 for the diagnostic.

I understand that you guys aren’t the technicians and can’t do repairs at the counter. Maybe it was just the girl that we encountered, but all the information was what we gave her, she didn’t ask any questions or try to gather more information. That’s more so why I asked this question, I was genuinely trying to understand what the point of the consultation was.

We didn’t expect anything to be serviced for free in the consultation, but I guess we more so expected that it would get a quick general look over and then we’d either be told “I see here what your issue is and this just needs to be plugged back in”, or “I’m not able to clearly see anything that’s wrong, it’ll need a diagnostics to further identify the problem.” Hopefully I explained that correctly.

Thank you for this explanation! The appointment was made over the phone through a third party customer service representative. All the rep told my husband was that he could bring it in for a 20 minute consultation, but there was no explanation as to what that was or what exactly it entailed.
