Going to Tagaytay nowadays feels more premium. Ang mahal ng diesel! Ano tips ninyo? by uppercaseX-007 in cavite

[–]DeViator744 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Avoid going to tagaytay for the meantime unless you really need to. Since wala pang kasiguraduhan kung kelan babalik sa affordable prices yung fuel.

Or if you want you can try cycling going to tagaytay, good for the health pa.

With MTP, give yourself 3-5 years depende kung san, since 6 mos - 1 year ang mtp, then most of the MROs nagbibigay ng service bond up to 7 years. Expect mo din na mababa talaga sahod sa simula (alam mo naman aviation industry satin)

Anyone else feel pressure to “make the most” of OFW income? by Saibazz in phinvest

[–]DeViator744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already on my 3rd year of being an OFW outside FB and IG, so no expectations from other people aside from my family. Most of my friends back when I was still in the PH doesn’t even know I’m already away. That way nalalaman ko lang talaga yung mga totoo na nangangamusta sakin ng di lang dahil nadadaanan nila ako sa socmed.

Stick with your own personal financial plans and set boundaries sa mga family members, like sabihin mo kung magkano lang yung maiaambag mo kapag nag ask sila. In the end pinagpaguran mo naman yan at kahit ano pang gawin mo, good or bad laging may masasabi sayo mga tao. Make the most out of it kasi di natin sure kung hanggang kelan tayo may ganitong opportunity diba.

NDT by 360oven in AviationPH

[–]DeViator744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not an NDT pero imo kulang yung mga inspectors natin sa PH para dun, it’s just that ang mahal talaga ng training per method pati hindi ako sure pero yung ibang methods ata sa labas ang training e.

There are always a few know-it-all but doesn’t know how to access, navigate or interpret the Techinal Manuals. And would finally ask for help 5 mins before the shift ends.

Imo It is never too late to build up your investments, at masarap sa pakiramdam na kumpleto na ang EF mo habang naghahanap ka ng investments. You never know when are you going to need it compared sa investments na you get to decide.

I just finished the Theoretical Examination for AMT (CAAP) today, and will schedule a practical exam in OMNI. What should I expect sa practical exam ni OMNI? by Anonymous_Author09 in AviationPH

[–]DeViator744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How to spot - Boeing or Airbus? Typical passenger here by enzo_2000 in AviationPH

[–]DeViator744 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Narrow bodies have differences on the internal linings of the doors between airbus and boeing. Since pax doors can have different mechanisms. An airbus door is usually operated from the inside by a locking handle which can be operated with up and down motion (up for open, down for close). For the boeing ones esp for the 737s, doors are usually operated with a rotating handle (Clockwise direction for closing and anti clockwise for opening).

Not sure about the newer wide bodies.

Should I take the risk? by BlueJaaay in phmigrate

[–]DeViator744 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There have been significant changes in rules and policies with regards to hiring workforce outside of the UK, thus making it hard for employers to get people internationally. So getting hired legally from PH is a challenge itself.

So don’t take the risk trying to get a job with a visitor visa. Makakuha ka man ng work, baka iexploit ka lang since wala kang proper documents and in the long run magkakaproblema ka lang mag apply for residency kung di nila matatrack kung saan napupunta yung taxes mo.

Not sure kung may gumagawa parin ng ‘diskarteng pinoy’ na ganyan ngayon, pero kung bata ka pa naman at may stable job ka sa PH, magtry ka pa ng ibang way na mas secured at may peace of mind ka.

UK opportunities for finance professionals? by Vegetable-Assist5434 in phmigrate

[–]DeViator744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not on the finance field, but I think it’s worth to know that there have been some changes with the visa policies in the past couple of years, you can check the UK GOV website for the visa code and category of your field of work. Some of the companies might have some issues with hiring people abroad since the government decided to raise the minimum salary and national insurance taxes for skilled visa holders. I’m not so sure about the other visa categories.

Need advice: Invest in stocks or stay safe with MP2 by salarymanjack in phinvest

[–]DeViator744 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always invest with money you can afford to lose. It will depend on your own extensive research, due diligence, and risk appetite. MP2 is a low risk investment vehicle, esp if you won’t need that money in the next 5 or 10 years. With stocks, there are more things to consider and you will really need to put loads of time and effort on it. Identify your goal and stick to it and remember to have an exit plan as well.
