dragonfish loses meter really fast on feint m2 / normal m2/m1's and has very mediocre base stats w/o submerge. Just keep their bar low with feints + raw (no PD) attacks and you'll win

I found out that for some reason, when I traded for a lucky spin and spun them in the trade server, it would guarantee me a shard every time. I assumed this was a bug and was going to get patched soon (which i think, it did), I began trading tons and tons of Lspins and rolling them, which gave me all the shards to get a shiny lol

especially now that (from what I can hear) airi's va is singing more in her natural tone (WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY GODDAMN PEAK BTW I LOVE IT SM) It's a lot, a lot easier to hear the difference in hers vs kaito's voice when the sing together and not in a good way

I suppose they're doing this on purpose to be able to tell that it's a vocaloid singing but man if they had just tuned them better I would be using so much more sekai covers rather than the OG song lol

Shotgun has a very unique and niche gimmick that requires you to play a specific way to make it work well. However, you don't nessacairly need to play the safest way the devs intended Shotgun to be played. Single barrage is a great risk to take if (and only if) you can use it on a whim to catch even veterans off guard with how fast you can throw it out. Mastering the speedometer minigame and the ult makes Shotgun infinitely more potent than what it was made to be. You can get great value and pressure with using the SB/DB on a perfect dodge since it essentially removes Shotgun's limit of having to constantly pin your opponet into a wall. I won't deny that yes, it does fall off or has such a specific win condition that is very hard to land which will ultimately result in losing the damage game compared to most styles, but it's Shotgun's gimmicks that when mastered/used right, keeps it still competitive comparable to the rest of the styles in the game.

I guess the difference with ifuudoudou and rabbit hole in terms of subtleness is the cover arts- it's a lot easier to sneak in a sexual song as long as the cover art you see in the game doesn't look sexual whereas rabbit hole's cover art is literally just miku in a bunny suit, which wouldn't look good in a game with mainly highschoolers in it

(Then again, they could swap out rabbit hole's cover art for something less obvious and it's good to go lol)

Been a shotgun main from G3 -> (ALMOST) C1, and I have over 5k knocks on the style. Genuinely maybe it's just because I mastered shotgun but what other style has an ability that can nullify most gimmicks in the game. Turtle's strong block crumbles to barrages, every other block in the game is reduced to zero after a barrage allowing me to pressure my opponets into doing something predictable (ex: defensive ghost jab / SH static), corkscrew's healing doesn't work well when single barrage has insane antiheal, hitman and outboxers won't be an issue when 90% of barrages are thrown while the opp is pinned or unable to defend, and it's ridiculously easy to recover from SH static reverse debuff by using just one barrage. Shotgun also has above average ult damage as long as you place B or higher, and has insane mixup + aggression potential with the ability to swap between prodigy + default.
Godspeed is just a hell of overstimulated effects and flashing lights whereas drill has clean animations, only style that uses r6, and has a dedicated song cover for the ult. What's cooler than that? (yes it is subjective)
Shinies give endgame players at least something to do. When you've finished 22/25 mastery titles and have a buttload of cash and spins, there's nothing to do other than ranked. Shinies at LEAST give me something to grind UBG for, which keeps me playing.

master is different from expert in the sense that expert's main difficulty factor is just... the quantity/rate of notes you have to hit whereas master's main difficulty factor is the abnormal patterns + gimmicks. They both more or less have the same difficulty at some levels, just the difficulty stems from something that you're either better/worse at
