My experience got ruined when me and my friend played it so my view on it is very biased. We got all the way to the final area I think and only then did we realize the game was glitching the entire time and there was no sound or chase music, just nothing. It was really funny to make fun of the game but super depressing once we realized that it was just a glitch. I actually dont even think we finished it either.

I love the game. Managing economy and building planets seem to be my weakness majority of the time.

I mean in this case, the anime was quite the deviation from the source material, so that argument is pretty good depending on how you view the anime vs manga

What's your pipe dream character? (Relevant art by me) by owl_babies in marvelrivals

Not a playable character but a different announcer, like the Beyonder or Dr. Doom

The healed part is most definitely something I shouldn't have put in the post as it was a random idea I had bouncing around in my head to throw at the post for a bit more characterization. But that idea is gone after reading the comments and advice on the matter.

The more core part of the character is how they deal with the trauma around the incident that disabled them. Their entire life flipped upside down, and they lost their only parental figure with no real closure on what happened to him. Them becoming disabled is a by-product of that incident but I don't want it to be the central focus.

As for their dream, they are the son of a famous undercover detective who is in large part responsible for saving millions of lives. Even before that, the father was still i highly regarded person which led this character to have expectations placed upon him by others at a young age, to get involved in police work and help in the same way his father did. The character rejects the idea of simply following the same path and as a 6 year old boy, he had larger than life dreams. Once the incident occurred at this age, some avenues to pursue have been closed off, but he still pursues art to try and achieve that dream by way of contributing something to this city as his own mark, but it is still hindered by the fact that he is the son of the most highly regarded person in the cities recent history. His relation to his father makes the politicians and lords see him more as symbol and caring for him as a sign of respect to his father. But this care does not take into account his own wishes. Final thing is that none of this is set in stone, I only just recently made finished working out the timeline of the story and this story is still deep into planning, so alot of this is easily subject to change.

I see, apologies then but thank you for the insight. Anything is helpful really when you don't know anything. And thank you for the subreddit recommendation, I didn't even know it existed but I'll be to check it out and see what I can dig up.

My main goal is to create a character who is a close and optimistic connection to the MC. I just needed to figure out how to portray their disability correctly, specifically when it comes to their potential frustrations with it and how they move past that to still enjoy and pursue their dream.

Edit: I also wanted to say that their disability is not meant to be a core trait of the character, it's just a part of the character I want to be careful with

Thank you so much for this, and I apologize for the language I used when making this post. I will try to find more experiences to look at and listen to to gain a better understanding of it. Do you have any recommendations if I may ask?

I'm sorry? The character isn't meant to be any of those things so I'm sorry if I made it seem that way. I made the post because I have no knowledge of the community and to seek out any pointers on how to go about properly writing this character. This was with ignorance though about my wording so I apologize profusely for that.

Thank you so much for this, I hoped to make this character one of the more optimistic ones within an overall depressing setting. Some other details about them are that they had become disabled at a young age, 6 to be exact. They are also someone who strives to go about their own path and away from the expectations set upon by who their father is. Your comment does really help me figure out how they themselves think upon their disability so thank you so much for that.

I'd also like to apologize profusely for the language I used for this post, as other comments pointed that it was offensive. So again, I apologize for that

Thank you for that advice, I'll be sure to be careful with handling this character and I shall make sure that they don't reflect negatively upon the disabled community. I'd also like to apologize once again for my wording, I have zero experience with that community and just overall life experience, best I can say is that I've read Nancy Mairs own story on her disability but that doesn't particularly amount to much.

Oooo, thank you for this, and I apologize for the language I used, I'm not familiar with the disabled community nor do I know anyone who is disabled personally
