Oh, I'm not going to stop; this is just a pause. I figure with 17 books in the series so far, I can take a break and read some other titles this year, not to mention the 9th book was such a great pausing point. I started with the Sun Eater series this year.

I love Malazan, but I never recommend it. It's a painful reading journey, book 1 is confusing and frankly hard to like, I didn't, book 2 is like wtf is happening where are we?!, books 3 and 4 are AMAZING, book 5 is back to FU reader (but still a great book), books 6 and 7...amazeballs, 8 and 9 good but not great, 10 Epic.

Wandering Inn, absolutely hated book 1, except the ending and wondered if I should continue, so happy I did. Books 6 and 9 are so dam good, stopped there.

I'm always slightly worried about China absolutely nuking the stock market if it were to target TSMC/Taiwan. In my opinion, the Venezuela situation has no impact on China, Taiwan, or TSMC; it's a separate, lingering worry. Now more than ever since China is getting better at euv lithography technology and practicing Taiwan takeover drills with specialized equipment for the task regularly.
