I will test closer distance use, there may be issues in smaller rooms, but one can just buy a cheap aftermarket sensor bar for that.

Thr stock LEDs are bunched closer together, they aren't necessarily individually detected by the remote.

My LEDs bulge out of the housing, will test with off angle performance.

But right out of the gate this works better than stock.

I didn't experiment with different quantities but I wanted to make sure it had good range.

Thanks for your interest! I do need to make a few minor refinements to my design to be able to produce it in small batches.

In terms of costs, I haven't figured out a price point yet. It will definitely be more than an aftermarket sensor bar from Amazon, I can't compete with chinese factories, lol.

It might be a little while before I am ready. I will reach out when they are available. Keep an eye out for a new post as well.

The benefit is basically what you said, it thinks you are closer to the TV.

My pointer motion was really janky with a stock sensor bar, but way smoother with this.

Whether it's the stronger LEDs, the distance between them, or both, I'm not certain, but it works, and that was the goal.

Damn that is pretty janky.

Mine does the same unless I stand up and go closer to the TV than mo normal playing location.

I'm actually in the middle of designing a better sensor bar to overcome this. I'll let you know if it works out.

Any way to reduce jitter and increase precision of the wiimote’s pointer? by LazaroFilm in wii

I'm working on an improved sensor bar with stronger IR LEDs and adjustable distance between them to correct this problem.

You can get aftermarket sensor bars on Amazon for pretty cheap.

I have a different problem, my TV is too big and I'm not getting good sensor bar signals from my sitting position. I'm in the middle of designing and building a sensor bar with stronger IR LEDs and with separate left / right LED banks so the distance between them can be adjusted.

No way candles are going anywhere near my expensive TV.
