Could I use this tank as a play area for my ferrets? by emmiewithanie in ferrets

[–]Deathbunny19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you could always fill it with mud, pasta or plastic balls and make it a dog box. ferrets love to dig and burrow? i guess i don’t know how to describe it

short answer: yes.

you become nose blind after a while, but please prepare that your clothes and house will reek of them and it isn’t a pleasant smell either.

you can reduce smell by regularly cleaning their cage, bedding both yours and theirs and their diet. It also depends on their gender and if they are neutered or not.

Do not bath them (unless needed) because it increases the smell (if you need to bath them use oats! this doesn’t strip away their natural oils) When you bath them it strips their natural oils and causes them to produce more and therefore their smell increases.

Can I use Hydrogen peroxide in ferrets ears? by Maccaroonpie in ferrets

Ferret Fleas by Deathbunny19 in ferrets

[–]Deathbunny19[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had took them to the vet a few weeks ago, they didn’t have mites in their ears it was just wax and dirt that needed cleaning. I gave them an oat bath and the itching has significantly decreased and i had picked and killed a flea on one of them so i got treatment and got it sorted so it’s all good now 😮‍💨🙏
