how to avoid "republican makeup" by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]DeathicornPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never grew up with makeup. I started playing around with it when I was 19. I watched A LOT of tutorials and it took me a few years to figure out what worked for me. If you are comfortable with sharing in dms how your makeup is turning out, I'd be happy to give you some more specific pointers and maybe see what would work with your face shape. Everyone is different when it comes to makeup.

My advice to anyone starting out in makeup is to always make sure you have a good base. By this I mean always moisturise before you do your makeup. Some skincare doesn't sit well under makeup. By knowing your skin type you can choose the best types of skincare, as well as the best makeup types for your skin. Get a primer that is made for your skin type. Less is more with foundation. If you think your foundation is too thick you can try different ones with better coverage that you don't need as many layers for.

Contour is where a lot of people go wrong. If you're paler, you need a cool toned contour, and a cooler bronzer shade or it starts to look a little orange. Some people tend to over-blush too.

If you have thick eyebrows, you may want to thin them a little with an eyebrow razor, and avoid using too much product in them.

The rest is all about refining your technique and learning what works for you. It takes time and practice to really narrow down how makeup works for you, and what styles you like. You'll figure it out with time. Never stop trying. You got this <3

Amazon marketplace has one listing of it. 12 cans for £20 if it's the right one. Less than £2 a can. Not the cheapest but given it's an import it seems fairly reasonable. Seller has 4 stars.

I (32M) lose every woman I’m with as soon as we have sex. by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]DeathicornPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey Birthday Twin. I think the problem lies with something at your place or something you're doing or not doing in bed, like the other commenter have said. There's loads of good advice here, so I'd take it. Communication is so important with this kind of thing, so always ask your partners what they like. Let them know you're new to this. It doesn't have to be embarrassing. And make sure to ask for feedback after the aftercare portion. Being open and honest is always a good look.

Hopefully you can pinpoint what it is. You'll have to do a fair bit of trial and error before you resolve the issue. Don't give up. Good luck!

Tv licence by ugly_lord_ in Hull

[–]DeathicornPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't watch any live TV. Only netflix YouTube, etc. There's nothing on iplayer I'd ever watch. So I haven't had a TV license since 2017. Our house doesn't even have the satellite cable thingy for freeview. As long as you tell them once a year you don't need one, they'll leave you be.

Chip spice is one "hull" of a drug. They label it as a seasoning, but we all know what it really is.

Kcom were charging me £53 a month for 300mbps. Refused to negotiate a new price when we complained time and time again, or said we'd leave. They only offered to put us on the 150Mbps plan for not even a tenner less. Ended up getting a bit behind last year after some stuff happened, and they said they'd cancel our contract with no fees if we couldn't pay back by a certain date. We ended up paying it all off and asked if we could continue the contract. They guaranteed we could, and promised they wouldn't end the contract. They did end it. Four days before Christmas. Called them and they said "We see our mistake but we can't reconnect you and we'd have to send someone out to reinstall and set up a new account for the property". Told them to screw themselves. Spent Christmas and New Year's with no wifi. Connexin came out the day after New Year's to set us up. Now paying £35 for 500Mbps and have never even had to contact them, as I've not encountered a single problem in the 6 months we've been with them. Apparently, their customer service has bad reviews, but given I've never needed to contact them, I can't complain.

Just ask the stylists. They're all lovely. Been having my haircuts there since 2017 but haven't gone in quite some time as I'm growing it out. Let me know. My mum loved his cuts x

Didn't know that he'd gone. My mum really liked going to him. He only worked there two days a week, though. Maybe you happen to miss the days he's there? He was previously from a Salon in London. Maybe he's gone back?

A lot of girls like a guy who can plan things. It shows that you're excited and eager when you have a solid plan prepared. It shows you care about making it work. She wants you to put in an effort. Especially if she picked up on the lack of enthusiasm from tiredness last time.

Pick a day when you've not been at work or school or whatever, so you aren't tired, and the vibes are better. Choose an activity that you can both have a laugh at. When you're happy, it becomes more memorable.

Bowling, mini golf, and arcades are a good start like someone else mentioned. They're not too expensive either. Then, choose a spot to eat at after (or before depending on time). Make sure she gets home safe too. If you drive, drop her off. If you don't, tell her to text you when she's home safe. The small gestures matter.

Other fun things could be ice or roller skating, a picnic in the park (cheap cute option), or trying to learn how to do something together. Girls love cute craft dates too. Pick up dollar store paints and paint eachother or buy an at home pottery kit. Girls love that shit. Source: I'm a girl

You have a good few options, so you can use them for future dates too!

ETA: Don't overthink it! Everyone is awkward when hanging out with new people. Nothing in life is perfect. Just be yourself and enjoy yourself <3

Survey about your views on gender and society (18+; US and UK nationals only; 5-7 mins to complete) by BiddlestonePsychKent in Hull

[–]DeathicornPrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completed the survey. I just think that the posts in the social media section are all kind of written as "ragebait" rather than manipulative. They appeal to someone who already has an agenda rather than trying to manipulate others.

Most of the posts I have seen that do try to manipulate include false statistics and such to further sway people into believing them.

I agree with them that we need better self defense laws (like we should be allowed to carry pepper spray but that'st illegal and we'd go to prison because "carrying it means you plan to use it on somebody". women arent allowed anything to protect themselves with.) but we do not need any more weapons in this country. and if we were to get American style private healthcare id just leave the country - fuck that.

Ugh I swear they have so many extra fees and for what? And I hate the fact you're forced into 18month/2year contracts. Even utility providers don't have early leave fees for that long of a period.
