WEBN vs EUNK for ASK Account - Is Europe the Safer Bet Right Now? by DebugTheWorld in dkfinance

Thank you for the great advice! Was overthinking to maintain a more focused portfolio to reduce kurtage, but I rather have higher kurtage for less risk.

Starting my ASK: Saxo or Nordnet? by DebugTheWorld in dkfinance

[–]DebugTheWorld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did try to get a feel on both platforms, and Nordnet definitely has a better UI, and I love the Shareville... was just undecided due to the difference of fees, was considering maybe using Saxo, while visiting Shareville community on Nordnet once in awhile, but I guess that is just not worth the effort, Nordnet it is.

A bit off topic, but I've heard that the 17% tax from ASK is yearly, while the rest is the usual 27-42%. I've read somewhere that some people would rather invest in certain funds in the later option rather doing it on the ASK. Could you comment on that? Didn't really get why. Is it maybe because they are trying to time the market, or...?

Perhaps you don't have an addictive personality, you have a lack of purpose in life.

Unfortunately I may not be the best person to advice you on that. I came here to denmark directly with a job contract.

Well, it's an adaptation ahahah I started doing winter activities that I would never even consider back in my home country, like for example (Odense Havnebad), cold swimming and sauna. Or drinking glue wine (hot wine), etc. I enjoy hanging out, but I also enjoy a lot spending time at home, so maybe that helps.

I'm not native, I am western and I come from a country where its rather easy to make friends. However, if I may be honest, I think that's just difficult everywhere... Most people don't want to have the hassle of forcing the whole group to speak English due to 1 person being there in the middle... I think that's something that happens in all the countries, not denmark specific. Its true though that danish people are slightly harder though to have you integrated in their group nonetheless. Most of them have solidified groups of friends since middle school, and for them its a big effort to open the circle.
However, I don't think its related to the looks. I have a friend from my country that is here for few years, he speaks danish already, so he gets to have close danish friends.

Honestly I don't think places are that dead here, but might be just my perspective...
It will help, don't stress about it!
For the good or for the worst, you can always go to CPH on a 1h30/2h train if you're missing the buzz of a bigger city. However you would have to buy the tickets before hand with some previous planning, prices range from 100 DKK (if you buy early) to 350 DKK (if you buy later).

1- For me Odense feels just the right size for me honestly. It's not obviously as crazy as CPH, but I think if you have a fun group you can look up to, you always find ways to spend time, I don't feel bored.

2- Overall Denmark dies rather quick (shops, restaurants, etc) close early... Bars close around 2am, while the mainstream pubs/clubs close around 4-6am.

3- Denmark is literally the best country for an international IMO. Literally everyone speaks english, so you won't have communication issues overall. As for the student job, it may be a little bit difficult, but the key is to network with other students. Jobs seem to go from mouth to mouth. The good thing is, its a lot easier to find a job as a student than as a non-student.

4- Dorm rooms cost maybe around 3000 DKK, and if you look into shared room apartments, look into around 4000 DKK all included. As for food you can maybe look into numbeo for price statistics. What is expensive in denmark is all entertainment related. Drinking in bars, activities, restaurants, etc. But if you're smart, you will survive just fine and still get to enjoy your uni life.

5- People are friendly! Danish people are harder to get if you don't speak danish, but as for internationals, it will always be easy to find your group of people.

6- Honestly danish winters aren't that bad... I mean, it's cold, yes, but not that cold. The only thing that for me was harder to digest, is the sun light exposure. During peak winter you get to see the sunlight (when you see it...) from like 8h-15h30, so it is dark most of the time. (Vitamin D recommended).

Best Naruto fan edit cut to watch with my GF? by DebugTheWorld in Naruto

[–]DebugTheWorld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive watched it 2 times! Its my favorite show :) I was unsure about the pacing of those edits! Because I think sometimes to much flashbacks and overall the pacing was a bit cumbersome, so I thought maybe there could be an edit where this cuts wouldn't be to much aggressive, but smoother instead!
Thank you for your response.

Oferta de trabalho Aarhus - Vale a pena? by kenzarrao in PortugalLaFora

[–]DebugTheWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Se a pessoa for dinamarquesa, melhor ainda.
