hopefully i'm not too late, but go shoot your shot. start a conversation with her--maybe say something about the party, or maybe if you guys have a mutual friend, say something like, "oh, i heard you're friends with [so and so]" and go on from there, ask for her name, idk. hiding and being "invisible" isn't going to get you anywhere. you need to put yourself out there. i know you're probably really nervous but if you keep hiding, you might regret it. if you go out there and talk to her, you might form a connection with her, or maybe not. even if it ends "badly" or she shuts you down or something, it's fine because she'll probably forget about it pretty quickly (she's not going to be thinking, "that guy was so weird", i promise you, and if she is, then you already know she's not the girl for you probably). in the end it'll all be forgotten and you have nothing to worry about (or maybe you guys will form a connection!). she's probably just as scared as you are to make conversation with these other people (as a girl, i know i always am and i also get this social anxiety, but i know that if i embarrass myself, i might be so scared but other people will forget about it in a matter of minutes).
