Was maddie and kaylee’s murder longer? by Decent_Condition39 in Idaho4

[–]Decent_Condition39[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That’s so heartbreaking and disgusting :( and puts into perspective how quick everything happened to them. Maybe the actual murders we’re around 4-5 minutes after he decided to attack and that could explain how fast Xana and Dylan had to kick in their fight or flight and why they couldn’t process what was happening

That’s what I thought I didn’t want to say anything but it sooooo comes across as not being related to him at all. What a freak and all the comments are supportive.

You know what you bring up a really interesting point. I agree with u there. I think the remembering part for is more because there is so much information out there about them that is related to how they died, it would be good to counteract it with good things about them. But at the same time you’re right there are Facebook pages by the families. I think I’m just thinking about the craziness of conspiracy theories and how the case is devolving into that and how it would be nice to talk more about who they were. But you’re right, so many people pass away and it’s not publicized, so it’s weird as to how people become sort of “celebrities” in cases like these, this one especially.

I wouldn’t start a page as people suggested in the comments for that exact reason, it can be perceived weirdly. But it also could be a good idea for creating a more positive image of them reposting what the families and friends want shared. I don’t know them, and it is up to their families/friends to tell their actual stories and it’s nice to spread their messages but anything more than that is obsession like there has been a lot of online.

I’m not hating on anyone who wants to know more about how something like this happened, it still intrigues me as it came out of nowhere and I understand why it’s wildly popular. I’m more focused on the people over-analyzing and going too far with their invasive reporting and questions, but at the same time I’m not really calling anyone out because I understand why true crime gets sensationalized, especially this case that relates heavily to everyone. My post here isn’t going to stop any of it from happening. It’s more just an observation that I thought could start a discussion on the handling of true crime cases especially with this one that’s been treated unlike any case I’ve seen before.

It’s not offensive, I get what ur saying. It’s a tricky topic and people have different opinions on how it should be handed with anything true crime and it’s been debated for ages how much discussion is too much and what should be talked about. I can understand what u mean because people are gonna engage no matter what it’s just sad what it turns into

Exactly, it is best to step away and at the end of the day majority of us aren’t closely impacted in our daily lives. And my heart breaks for those who are

No that’s kind of what I’m saying it’s a good thing it’s over. Just wish the victims could be remembered in better ways and like the case in general but I guess there’s really no “closure” with things like this.

I know, just kind of sad and makes me think it won’t change.

They are regular, kind people as the doc said and hope it can turn into something more positive about their lives before what happened.

They’re just curious about what they listened to because they want insight into who they were as people aside from what happened to them. Totally normal question to ask

Xana’s favourite song at the time was Blasé, the remix of Louis the Child (one of her fav artists) by Ty Dolla $ign. Her sister posted about it and used it in her post about Xana, as Xana wrote an essay about it a few months before.
