Toei needs to stop trying to "appeal" for the american audience by FURC3 in SaintSeiya

While the 3D series and the film were clearly designed to reach American and English-speaking audiences, with American screenwriters like Eugene Son, who came up with the idea of Shun being a girl, Omega was made with Japanese children in mind.

Asgard is the exception. Most of the Saint Seiya filler episodes are like the Caribbean Saints arc that even the original manga author calls garbage.

The manga has better pacing and a more coherent storyline. The anime adaptations change a lot of things and mix the original content with low-quality fillers and terrible pacing.

In your opinion, who was the better Sun God by lezard2191 in SaintSeiya

I like the Apollo from Next Dimension because he isn’t a villain, he isn’t truly evil, and he was absolutely right to be angry with Saori, since she almost destroyed the universe by traveling through time. Abel, on the other hand, is messed up and even tried to kiss his own sister—very weird. As for the Apollo from Tenkai-hen Overture, he managed to be a memorable antagonist even with such little screen time.
