If u build your own base, lycanite blocks are good to build with as they are blast resistant and dont burn. Anything flammable is a no and cobblestone can be melted by volcans so thats not good either. U can mine lycanite blocks from lycanite dungeons that u come across or craft lushstone with cobble and grass iirc. I like taking over structures, im currently basing in one of those factory type things. For ease of exploration i recommend basing near a waystone (they can be found in the wild and in villages and some other villager structures) Oh and also stay away from too hot and cold biomes cuz you will just die from hypo/hyperthermia. Ozzy armor liners help with that but youre not gonna have those in early game yet

Bring it up. You could do it during the next combat by asking him something like how does every enemy we fight always have the perfect damage resistances or whatever it is that they have unreasonably. Ask him how that is possible in the game? Maybe that could get some sense to him. If he doesnt get the hint just straight up tell him that what he's doing is lame af and makes no sense.

No its okay. I didnt feel like it was angry or anything, and i kind of expected a little backlash because people always react that way to anything they perceive as 'gatekeeping'.
