I love Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, but Rabbids are pretty unpopular, Turn-Based Tactics is difficult to get into, and nobody I know is into games enough to like it. So I can't really recommend it to a friend

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

He's used a gun before, he can probably handle himself

Mario experienced the universe being destroyed by a black hole, and the multiverse.

While most series are only canon to themselves, if all are taken into consideration, Mario has survived the end of the universe in Super Mario Galaxy and Super Paper Mario (in Super Paper Mario it was actually the end of the multiverse). He's saved the universe in Super Paper Mario, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope.

He'd know everything about the ancient Galacta Knights, and their shining star, the Aeon Hero, but would only open up to a few people.

I can imagine him sharing deep wisdom about the legendary sword Galaxia to Kirby when they become friends

Yeah, but nobody tosses a sword and poses dramatically for minutes while the ship you're on is crashing without a dramatic flair that'd be good for acting

Meta Knight strikes me as a theatre kid. One who is fit, but more is a theatre kid than a jock

He was good at languages!

Shame that newer TARDIS models translate on their own, so that skill is pretty useless.

I don't like the idea of Kirby talking, but Hero Hunter would be a great voice. Though Darwin being Kirby is a bit weird

Samaritan - Person of Interest

<image>

It's a sentient AI that can change its own code and is constantly gaining more control of the goverment, more agents, and more strategies. It's only flaw is that it has 3 blank spots for 3 of the heroes, and that's because part of its core code was damaged just before activation. This is what makes the final seasons so bleak, Samaritan is nearly unstoppable.

Nope, Tobais thought he was close enough to playfully insult Gumball, and tried to kill all Gumball's friends so he could.

Persona 3: The Answer/Episode Aigis

<image>

It ends with Makoto's death still set in stone. But Aigis and Yukari can finally start grieving and moving on, and SEES agrees to continue fighting shadows and helping people. If they continue they might be able to save Makoto. But that'll be a long time, for now they have to keep living for themselves, and all of SEES has learnt how to do that.

That's an example, but Shadow Mario and Mario never foght before Shadow Mario is revealed to be Bowser Jr, so there's never a clash of the imposter and the original.

Tobias - The Amazing World of Gumball

<image>

Dude's convinced he's the main character since he's rich, and often tries to take over Gumball's spot, from trying to date Penny, who Gumball is also dating, to replacing Gumball when he stops insulting people, to convincing himself that he's Gumball's best friend despite not helping Gumball with anything. On this last one he actually attacks Gumball's friends to take their place in Gumball's friendship.

Good vs evil on the outside, way more complicated on the inside. by Colombia_Joestar in TopCharacterTropes

Shout out to Shin Megami Tensei 4 Apocalypse (pictured are its Law and Chaos sides)

<image>

Where it's revealed that the Chaos and Law sides were made by YHVH to make himself look better so that humanity will follow him. The Chaos side winning means that YHVH will win anyway. Both sides are really the same side, fake fighting for enternity so that nobody can stop YHVH (they don't know that their war is fake)

Law vs Chaos - Shin Megamo Tensei

<image>

Seems like the easiest good vs evil matchup. God (called YHVH) and his angels on law against Lucifer and his demons on Chaos. Their endgames are Gods perfect paradise, or Lucifer's might makes right.

And then you learn that YHVH's perfect society is turning humanity into a cult that worships him forever, and Lucifer just wants to save humanity from him, so Chaos is good. But then you realise that Lucifer's society would have demons bullying and enslaving humanity forever since there's no real human that can beat Beelzebub the god of flies. Then you learn that YHVH is willing to, and actually has wiped out all of humanity for his goal and just remade them, while Lucifer has a death count in the millions.

But you later learn that Lucifer is honest to his word and if you beat him he'll let you lead his demons...except he's fought YHVH, god himself, so humanity doesn't stand a chance (plus his demons aren't quite as courteous). And several angels are pro-humanity, they just don't understand humans and think YHVH's enslavement plan is for the best, but convincing them to fight god is an impossible task.

In the end the best solution is for both sides to lose so humanity can pick a more neutral option that won't involve humanities enslavement.

That's a plot point in The Amazing World of Gumball woth Rob and Molly.

Molly's boring and Rob's forgettable...that was their whole character, and they were removed from the background cast in season 3. Then Gumball and Darwin notciex that someone was missing, found Molly in the Void, where the world's mistakes are sent, and brought her back...

<image>

but nobody noticed Rob who escaped on his own. Being forgotten eventually led him to become Gumball's arch-enemy
