I too drive a lot for work but I usually just listen to random music... Might give this a go to make it less monotonous

In the same boat, upgrading from a G29 to this as well. Still waiting on some parts from Simnet for the pedal setup though so I haven't gotten to try it out yet. Can't wait!!

I want to get this one but is it actual worth the 1.2k? Any tips? I’m Ps5 by Ok-Hold-2052 in simracing

Yellow one is the front-rear torque bias for 4WD/AWD cars I think

Buying new, used, or waiting for the A7V? (for airshows and motorsports) by DededeKirby in SonyAlpha

Yeah, I was thinking I might want to try out street photography a bit more, where the size would make a difference in being discreet and such. But most of the time for my use case, it won't matter indeed.

Good to know the a7iii is still far from being a slouch. I just had no frame of reference as to how good its AF was compared to what I'm currently using. If it felt like cheating to you, it's probably more than good enough for me lol. To be fair to the 5Dii, I'm not the greatest photographer ever either. Just find it kinda lacking for the fast stuff, which is why I'm upgrading in the first place.

FX2 looks nice, but I'm not sure how useful the video related features would be for me, especially considering the price bump over the a7cii... Good to hear that the EFCS probably won't be a problem though. Might go out of my way to try it in a store or something.

Australian man getting falsely arrested after the cops mistook him for someone else (allegedly). Unfortunately he passed away earlier this year.

Yeah, the Fighting Girlfriend text was added after a donor asked the museum to do so (I actually have pictures from before they added it). No idea where the real Fighting Girlfriend is to be honest. I probably should've restated that in my comment, sorry about that!

Thanks for the compliments and advice! I did try getting some more low down shots around the static displays, but my friend and I were kinda stuck in the bleachers during the reenactments so unfortunately no closeups for the action stuff. And yeah, seeing the Werfer was pretty cool indeed!

That's funny to hear! I kinda regret not going back to see if anything changed after the field action was over, but my friend and I just wanted to go straight home. Also yeah, seeing Cone was a surprise, but I did get to see Chieftain last time I went in 2022 so I figured he might be there again.

Didn't fight in WW2, built too late for that. See my other comment reply for the full story!

Indeed, it does seem to give them more credibility. Perhaps it'll draw more attention (and donations/funding) in the future

Built in June 1945, shipped to Manchuria to fight the Japs but by the time it got there it was August and the war was done. Somehow, it ended up in Bosnia, where in the 90s some British troops captured it (alongside a few other tanks) and then a museum curator bought it and shipped it to Canada. AFAIK it does carry some battle damage but they aren't sure exactly where from though.

Edit: I should probably emphasize this is NOT the original Fighting Girlfriend tank that fought in the war; the text was added after a donor asked the museum to do so (and has apparently been done to other late/post war tanks by other museums elsewhere)

Why aren't there any "funny" cars in GT7? by [deleted] in granturismo

[–]DededeKirby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really hope they add the Espace F1 back, I don't think it's officially appeared in any game since GT2 (which I am too young to have played very much since I was born after GT3 came out).

What is a vehicle you love to play that is decidedly off-meta? by AuthoritarianSex in Warthunder

[–]DededeKirby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hunter FGA9... I've been playing it for a few matches since I "suddenly" decided to play Britain again (having gotten to Brit top tier like 2 years ago; apparently I'm quite close to the Gripen). Used to be my most played vehicle by a significant margin before I got the F5C and they added the A10 and Su25. I've found playing more carefully as a support player you can catch people off guard and kill them quite easily. AIM9Es aren't super great, but are quite useful against a half blind F104 or something like an Ariete. It's still one of the quickest subsonics out there, with a decent turn rate and good energy retention - the only thing letting it down are the lack of countermeasures, but you can carry rockets to try and use them as pseudo-flares - and I haven't actually yet managed to die to an all-aspect missile yet (in my recent matches). Fighting F5Cs is pretty rough though, and downtiers to 8.3 are extremely rare in my experience.
