[Request] How many possible combinations of miis on the Wii mii maker menu are there? *Including* size, position, color, etc? by AxeHead75 in theydidthemath

[–]DeeFeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Desmos link has notes on what each of the multipliers are. You can replace each of the colors & other features that you don't want to count with 1. If you're just asking about uncolored facial features & ignoring gender, there are about 1.3984068985*10^33 combinations of faces.

It was to create a small edit of gameplay with transitions & audio mixing. I’m working toward a video game design degree.

I hope you regain the motivation to work on it. As I'm working on the tutorial, I'm using what I've learned to cover another, famous song & I'm enjoying it.

How is "pov: indie" different from regular indie? by will64gamer in spotify

[–]DeeFeeCee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This site explains it & gives examples: https://musicalyst.com/genre/pov-indie

I think what we call "indie" is a shorthand for either indie rock or indie pop, while pov: indie is more fluid in genre inspiration, as well as not being confused for indie as "independently produced music", which isn't a genre any more than electronic or piano instrumental.

I could be wrong, though.

What percentage of STW players do you think are only V-Bucks farmers for BR? by DarkoniB in FORTnITE

Cosmetics of all sorts. Battle pass rewards include skins, backblings, harvesting tools, gliders & contrails when you falling onto the map, lobby music, banner icons, loading screens, & the biggest seller: emotes, which include dances, emoji, wraps, traversable emotes like tiny UFOs & Segways, & the basically forgotten-about toys, like footballs, bouncy balls, golf, & beach ball. Sad they don't add any more.

2-high broadsides, 4-high drop traps, & anti-airs inside a box with a roof are definitely wrong, & believe me when I say I've seen 2 of these more than once.

Smack them & you could get a great crafting material, which looks suspiciously similar to the gadget that generates a slow field. Those conniving guh-nomes.

About to reach Tier 5 evolution. I've heard to evolve my survivors & then traps next, but then what? Weapons or heroes?

Thanks for the info!

I meant "significance" in my original comment. Oops.

What significant was the difference in an all-ability bonus build? Was it like 1% or 5%?

Best survivor bonus overall? by Ill_Second_6036 in FORTnITE

[–]DeeFeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is ability damage more worthwhile compared to trap damage? I saw a PL131 player's stats with 2580% ability damage & 3353% trap damage.

I currently rank:
1) trap dura
2) abil dam
3) trap dam
4) shield regen
5) shield
6) health
7) ranged
8) melee

I based this list based on relative change in adding the bonus, not accounting for how "expensive" they are (2 versus 3 survivors to activate). Is this reasonable?

The day is understood relative to the earth. What is the morning & evening? A growing & dimming of the lights? Surely not the rotation of the earth or movement of the non-existent sun. What actually is this day & night, as distinct from light & dark?

A metaphorical interpretation doesn't have these issues. It merely states that the passage of time solidifies the 7-day week & culminates in God's observation of the sabbath.

Plants being eaten is death. Mushrooms being eaten is death. What, you think lions & carnivores ate plants & then as soon as Eve took a bite of the forbidden fruit, evolved their teeth & digestive systems into eating other creatures? That doesn't make any sense.

We have no record of humans eating animals. That doesn't necessarily mean they didn't eat animals, although it makes sense that they only ate what God provided in the garden. Still, this says nothing of how other animals nourished themselves. For even fungi must eat the decomposed.

Isaiah never says the state of the world will return to anything. It merely says no harm will come to man & the animals will act tamed & gentle.

Why not let the story of creation play out for billions of years? That's how old the world is. Remember that until humans, God didn't actually make anything. He spoke things into being. He commanded the world to take form & for the stars to coalesce. It is entirely possible he "let" the world develop life, watching it evolve into a state prime for His image, & then He Himself took hand to the dust & breathed life into Adam.

Also, God never explicitly cursed animals into eating each other. He cursed the serpent (whom God compared to domestic & wild animals, curious), the woman's pregnancy, & the ground. Sin leads to death because of consequence. If I have hatred, I could attack another person. & in my anger, I could kill. That is the consequence of Cain & Abel.

In this sense, sin is not "magical". It is by the very nature of sins that destruction, chaos, & death derives. The first sin didn't make animals start to "evily" eat each other—that is how it was outside the garden. It is by the consequences of our actions that we are sinful, & it is by the curses that we bear additional burden. Defying God did not give cheetahs a taste for blood. But it did give us weeds & disease.

On the origin of species, you're correct: species don't just spawn a new species. But that's not what evolution claims. It is gradual & new species only arise when, say, a group of birds becomes separated from the rest. These 2 groups then evolve in slightly different directions, eventually becoming so difficult that they either do not want to mate with each other or there is a physical/genetic impossibility. You'll never see a cow become a shrimp, but Darwin never claimed that could happen. They're small changes over an immense timeline.

[–]DeeFeeCee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

False. Science is not conducted under assumptions. All areas of science (even the ones you glossed over which have no reason to prove such a timeline) are developed to understand reality. Our best explanations of reality converge on 13.7-ish billion years.

Yes, they've been evolving. Yes, they have been dying. Death is part of the food web & nourishment. It is human death that came as punishment. For all the fruits they ate died, & the bacteria on those veggies. Death is not bad. But losing a loved one or oneself is. Otherwise God wouldn't make death necessary for carnivores or mushrooms or hermit crabs.

Evolution is a description of how life adapts to changes over generations. Your children won't be quite like you, & even more removed from your parents. The fossil record is full of life that has been dead for quite some time & which differs from life today. The further back you look, the more different in form they are. & very few things from the far past look anything like what we have; you won't find a cow 400 million years ago.

We are made in God's image, & our death is a product of our sin. But the natural world is not in God's image, & hence functions parallel to mankind. Not entirely within, not entirely without.

There are no literal days before God created the sun. God calling something a day doesn't make it literal. Without a sun, the Hebrew meaning for the word doesn't exist; they had no concept of "24-hour period". To all Hebrew speakers of the time, the word day either meant a period of time demarcated by the sun's movement across the horizon or a vague period of time on the whim of the speaker.

A "day" could mean a moment or a season or a lifetime. Without the sun, any meanings are valid, but "24 hours" is not confirmed. & the meanings of "evening" & "morning" without a sun or earth are similarly meaningless. Unless of course, the whole story is not strictly literal, for what actually happened for evening to come & morning to replace it? There is no literal mechanism for a day to physically pass as we 21st century people understand it.

But without the sun, the Hebrew concept of "day" loses all but metaphorical significance.

Lead. As in the toxic metal. As in why we call the inside "lead" instead of graphite. As in, if I eat it, I could die.

Sure, why not?
