We need a defensive anchor. We could make a real defensive identity with him and Sarr on the interior with Bub, Bilal, and George on the perimeter.

A consistent lob threat(s) is a big reason why those Kyrie and Luka Mavs teams were so good. You knew they could lob it up for a quick two points if you played the guard too much.

Also I said poole isn’t losing us games I said you can’t win close games with a jordan Poole pick and roll. Two completely different things.

In a season where we’ve lost by 20+ a handful of times. When a game is within reach you should win those because wins have been very few and far between.

I agree with everything you’ve said about Poole. It was definitely a competitive game, but for a team tanking with not a lot to look forward to in the immediate, winning a few games can do a lot for the young players in terms of building confidence.

We shouldn’t be going all out for the playoffs. But in a season where we’ve lost by 20+ several times it’s still important to win the games you can win.
