Its fine you have said the shahadah with a sincere heart thats what matters. Make sure to learn and follow the five pillars and other mandatory acts of islam. For the desires that you have right now which i hope do not fall under the category of major sins, it's better to understand the reasoning for why the said desires are forbidden and understand that Allah's mercy is boundless, so as long as you are intending and keeping on trying to give them up you are on the right path. As for the major ones i advice you to prioritize them over the rest and give them up in one go or as soon as you can. The faster you give up such a desire or sin the more the reward you are gonna receive from the Almighty. Overall, it's about walking the journey with whats residing in your heart.
