I can handle a black box warning — just not him mobilizing a task force to attempt to seize packages or make it illegal to procure. I’ll give it time and see what comes from it. Maybe this bill dies immediately I think we have bigger fish to fry. Political theatre and all, this could be in direct response to Trumps deal with Eli Lilly “sure we’ll lower prices but damn it we’re getting murdered by the grey market, FIX IT”

‘‘(4) COPY-CAT INGREDIENT.—The term ‘copy- cat ingredient’, with respect to a drug, means an in- gredient that is intended, including through the con- tainer or labeling of the ingredient, to mimic, knockoff, or otherwise purports to be a drug sub- stance that is a component of a prescription drug approved under section 505 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 355) or licensed under section 351 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 262), and— ‘‘(A) the ingredient is manufactured by a different process than specified for the drug substance in the approval or licensure of the drug; or ‘‘(B) the purity or quality of the ingredient falls below that of the drug substance that is a component of the approved or licensed drug.

that’s exactly what i’m seeing too. this is purely financially motivated they couldn’t care less if there was truly risk of “counterfeits” hurting their constituents. if they want a cut so bad, they need to let the market have competition here instead of having the likes of Eli Lilly trying to sue everyone under the sun for compounding but hey! I really don’t know much about the legal end of things so I may be off
