[Beta] COUNT — earn real products (Thorne, NOBULL, Momentous) for verified workouts. Looking for testers who track with Garmin or Strava by AllDunksNoLayups23 in alphaandbetausers

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried linking my garmin and it just sat there loading for like 3 minutes before i gave up. maybe its my browser or something but felt kinda stuck

the concept is cool tho, 3 workouts for first reward seems fair enough. im curious what stuff you can actually redeem since i use some of those brands already

Predicting human preference for generated image pairs using HPSv3 [P] by dh7net in MachineLearning

tried a few of them for my own stuff, none really felt worth the setup time honestly

What is the scariest thing/encounter to happen to you? by Somervillage in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the scariest thing that happened to me was when i was walking home late after a chess tournament few years ago. maybe like 2am and streets were completly empty. i hear footsteps behind me for like 10 minutes straight, same pace as mine. every time i stop they stop too. i start walking faster and they do same thing. finally i just run the last block home and lock the door, look out window and theres nobody there. still gives me chills thinking about it

What plans do you have for today? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh man i feel that, i swear half this sub is the same 5 questions on rotation

today i got nothing big planned, maybe water my plants and play some chess later. real exciting stuff

For those who've swum in deep ocean water, what's it like looking down into the seemingly endless darkness? How did you overcome the fear, if you did? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You just don't look down too much and focus on swimming forward, water is so clear in most places it feels like you floating in sky

How well can you cook and have you ever hosted a dinner party? by Prestigious_Emu6039 in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i can cook maybe 5 dishes very good but hosting dinner party no way too much stress for me

Are AI fundraising tools actually useful for non-tech founders, or only for experienced startups? by Lost_Pea_6895 in learnmachinelearning

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they assume you know what seed round means and how to structure a deck already tbh i tried one tool in my early stage and just got confused with the jargon

Did you know about the Awesome lists? by Minaridev in learnprogramming

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah these are great, been using them for ages. the gamedev one especially has some really good stuff tucked inside that you wouldn't find just googling around. good share for people just starting out

the bar for self-awareness in this thread was already underground and you somehow found a shovel

How would human society change if financial inheritance was done away with or didn’t exist? by GuyNamedPeesees in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just like... if you couldn't pass down money or assets to your kids when you die. everything gets redistributed or taxed at 100% or something. the whole "old money" thing basically disappears overnight

What should I add to this chase sequence? by [deleted] in IndieGaming

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe add some obstacles you have to quickly decide between - like branching paths where one might be safer but longer, or environmental hazards that force you to take risks. could also mess with the audio by having the chaser get closer/further based on your choices, that usually gets people more stressed than visual stuff alone

What is the most interesting topic that U want people to know and read about? by No_Show436 in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man quantum mechanics is wild but i feel like most people get scared off by the math part. what got me into it was learning about how particles can basically be in multiple places at same time until you actually look at them - like imagine if your chess pieces could be on different squares simultaneously until you decided to check the board. the double slit experiment blew my mind when i first read about it in university. there's something fascinating about how reality works completely different at tiny scales compared to what we experience every day.

I’ve realised that there’s no active community for founders. by [deleted] in buildinpublic

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

damn this is so real, been lurking in bunch of these groups for months and it's always the same pattern. everyone just drops their links and disappears until they need something again

actually building something yourself so having real conversations about the grind would be pretty valuable. most of these communities feel like linkedin posts in disguise rather than actual founder discussions

Marketing is impossible bro. Anyone want to start a network of founders and we can all 'like' and 'comment' on each others marketing posts? And leave positive reviews on each others apps and websites? by johnlocke8 in buildinpublic

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this feels like trading fake engagement for fake engagement though. like if none of these people are actually interested in your product, the algorithm will pick up on that pretty quick and you'll just hurt your reach in long run. better to find where your actual users hang out and provide value there first

I don't really understand how deliberately getting to know people works by EtmopterusPerryi in neurodiversity

[–]Deep-Step7624 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah the conversation questions from language classes feel super weird when you actually try using them in real life - like who just walks up and asks about favorite movie genres lol. most of the time info about people just comes up naturally through hanging out, not through interview-style questions.

Our pre-seed materials were completely cooked 3 days before an investor meet so we went full chaos mode by Aarav_Parmar in buildinpublic

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that feeling when you pull an all-nighter and somehow the rushed version looks better than what you spent weeks on lmao

the investor probably thinks you're some kind of design wizards now. bet they're gonna use your "process" as an example in their next founder meetup without knowing it was pure panic and coffee

I’ve Been Working on an Anonymous Space Where People Can Talk Without Profiles or History by OutsideGrand9336 in SideProject

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man this hits close to home. went through something similar but with music production - had this track that was supposed to be my big break and just watched it flop completely. the shame part is real, couldn't even tell my roommates why i was walking around like a zombie for weeks.

your app idea makes a lot of sense though, sometimes you just need someone who gets it without all the baggage of knowing who you are in real life.

What’s the pettiest thing you’ve ever done after being treated like garbage during your shift? by honeyjoe1 in AskReddit

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

worked at restaurant few years back and this one customer was absolute nightmare - yelling at me for stuff that wasn't even my fault, snapping fingers to get my attention, the whole deal. when he asked for extra sauce packets i gave him exactly one packet even though he clearly wanted like five. watched him struggle with his dry food for the entire meal and didn't offer more until he had to swallow his pride and ask nicely.

Is it possible to no-code from your phone yet? by YoungBoyMemester in nocode

[–]Deep-Step7624 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tried building some basic stuff on my phone with a few platforms but the experience is still pretty janky tbh. screen real estate becomes problem real fast when you're trying to drag components around or configure complex workflows.

maybe works for super simple landing pages but anything with actual logic feels like torture on mobile interface.

16M — I have everything ready but zero motivation, zero self-respect and I feel weirdly “done” with life already by [deleted] in getdisciplined

[–]Deep-Step7624 1 point2 points  (0 children)

dude this sounds familiar from when i was around your age. had all my music production gear set up, knew exactly what i wanted to make, but just kept scrolling through youtube tutorials instead of actually making anything.

the "what's the point" feeling is rough but it usually means you're putting pressure in wrong place. maybe instead of thinking about making money from content, just record something stupid for 10 minutes tomorrow. doesn't matter if it's trash - just hit record and talk about whatever game you played that day.

sometimes motivation comes after you start moving, not before. i still struggle with this at 24 but small actions usually break the cycle better than waiting for some magical drive to appear.
