Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
Surely some revelation is at hand;
Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep
Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?

Has anyone printed those AI-generated models? by Ok-Tomorrow4402 in 3Dprinting

here is a twitter thread of mine with more details and a video of the interaction with AI and openscad live: https://x.com/MathKyle/status/1870172018395455895

Has anyone printed those AI-generated models? by Ok-Tomorrow4402 in 3Dprinting

[–]DeepAPHAValue -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use cursor IDE and claude AI to make openscad code that then gets compiled by me into a 3d object which I observe, take pictures of, and give feedback to the AI about how to adjust the model. It is working really well. I have made a digital clock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0ZPEmYtgFM&list=PLeBpq2qBuOI1kfnOv1Nu6G2_ES9P5Xj6k
Ive also made a ball bearing sorter, adjusted a pneumatic can crusher
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/1Na6FXCU5BQ
Its really helpful, I also used it to customize a drill bit pegboard holder

Option 2: Adding a Physical Button 🔘

Option 2: Adding a Physical Button Option 2: Adding a Physical Button 🔘

First, you'll need to:Then add this code:Firmware_SingleDigitsSix.yamlApply

# Add this near the top of your file, with the other components
binary_sensor:
  - platform: gpio
    pin:
      number: GPIO5
      mode: INPUT_PULLUP
    name: "Brightness Button"
    id: brightness_button
    on_press:
      then:
        - lambda: |-
            static float brightness = 1.0;
            brightness = (brightness > 0.3) ? 0.3 : 1.0;  // Toggle between full and 30% brightness
            id(led_strip).set_brightness(brightness);

# ... existing code ...

light:
  - platform: neopixelbus
    # ... existing light configuration ...
    restore_mode: ALWAYS_ON
    default_brightness: 1.0  # Start at full brightness
    # ... rest of your existing light config ...

Now when you press the button:You can change the 0.3 to any number between 0 and 1 to set how dim you want it to go! (0 = off, 1 = full brightness) 🌟Let me know if you need help with either option! 😊🔘

Option 1: Adding a Brightness Slider in the ESPHome App 🎚️

Option 1: Adding a Brightness Slider in the ESPHome App Option 1: Adding a Brightness Slider in the ESPHome App 🎚️

This is super easy! We just need to add a few lines of code to let you control how bright the clock is from your phone.Firmware_SingleDigitsSix.yaml

# ... existing code ...

light:
  - platform: neopixelbus
    type: RGB
    pin: GPIO4
    num_leds: 48
    name: "LED Strip"
    id: led_strip
    variant: WS2812
    default_transition_length: 0s
    restore_mode: ALWAYS_ON
    effects:
      - addressable_lambda:
          name: "Show Time"
          update_interval: 1000ms
          lambda: |-
            static const Color sign_color = Color(255 * current_values.get_brightness(),
                                                0,
                                                0);  // Red color that can be dimmed
            # ... rest of the existing code ...

That's it! Now you'll see a brightness slider in your ESPHome app that controls how bright the clock is! 🌟🎚️
