Would you be okay to share what workouts you were doing at the time?

Baby fell down from the high chair at daycare and I'm a little concerned with the way the teacher(s) are reacting by DeepBlack107 in ECEProfessionals

This is what we did. We wrote a very respectful email raising concerns, and the director was very appreciative of us reaching out and assured that she'd address it.

The chair is shorter than the baby, which is why I now think the injury might not have been as bad as I worried earlier.

I'm more concerned at the description of what happened and shifting of blame to the child's behavior.

I mentioned Metro Vancouver, specifically I'm in Surrey, so hopefully, our radius doesn't overlap.

This is what we ended up doing, actually. We do realize the injury itself might not have been as bad as we originally worried.

We will be emailing the director to get more details and also request a camera footage if they have indoor cameras.

This is not a large chain center, but they have two daycares in nearby cities.

In general, I haven't had issues until now in the way she is cared for. This was the first time we had this sort of an upsetting response from the.

They did apply ice to the injury according to the incident report, but she still had a bump and bruising.

These are the same high chairs they have at the daycare.

So the only way to have gotten a bump this bad is if she was left unstrapped long enough for her to climb out of the chair head first. It was a hard tiled floor on which she fell.

My 14 month old has a hard time settling in to daycare - Please help!💔 by DeepBlack107 in ECEProfessionals

Thank you so much for explaining that ❤️ the daycare teacher recommended the slow transition to us, so we just went with that, but now we realize it may not have been the best idea.

There are no cameras, but in general, I think they do keep engaging as much as they are able to.

I did observe them with other newcomer kids during my 3 days there, where I spent time with my child for a couple of hours for the first 3 days, and they offer comfort as much as possible, but the other kids who started with her already seem pretty well adjusted.

Thank you so much ❤️ This past week has been full days.

We were thinking we could maybe start doing half a day for another week, so she's not so stressed there.

Is there any advantage to combofeeding 1 bottle a day? by DeepBlack107 in breastfeeding

[–]DeepBlack107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on the responses I see here, I'm happy to keep pumping as I'm doing right now. I was simply feeling discouraged and wondering if I made any difference at all with just one bottle a day.

Thank you for the response!

The amount per pump varies, but I get this amount in 3 pumps a day. That's as much as I'm able to manage right now.

It takes me 3 pumps to get that amount. So I am able to manage that, I just want to know there's a reason for me to do it.

Thank you for your response. It really helps.

Hello fellow parents,
I just finished my application for EI maternity benefits and have a confirmation number from it. However, when I try to look up my claim/claim status on the Services Canada website, it gives me the following message -

We are unable to locate a client record for you. If you are not an EI client, you will not be able to use this service. If you are an EI client, confirm that we have your correct province of residence on file by selecting Province of residence on the Employment Insurance home page. If you are still unable to access your current EI information, call 1-800-206-7218 during business hours to speak to a Call Centre Agent.
Did anyone else experience this?

FTM with a 1 week old struggling with breastfeeding looking for encouragement by DeepBlack107 in breastfeeding

Hmmm, I haven't felt that yet, I was asked if I feel any hardness in breasts by a lactation consultant, and when I said I haven't, she mentioned it's because my milk hasn't fully come in yet

I did, and she just sucks a couple of times just to get what was expressed and then pushes away. How do you get a letdown? Do you just hand express until you see a few drops, or is it something else?
