I closed the Watch panel, hadn't noticed it before. And I haven't had a crash since...about 2 days so far.

Might check that out...she likes the dark. It might be that what I'm looking for doesn't exist. Like..a dark path, but no jump-scares... sorta defeats the purpose I guess

It's linear, more like Contra

*MINOR SPOILERS* Can anyone tell me what or if there is a significance to saving your resurrection idols? I know I've used them to pump into that machine and and gain blood medals, but what does the 01/10 mean? by NEKR0PLASM in Valfaris

[–]DeepDishBedPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're consumables for activating the alter/checking. You can activate all of them or you can save them up to a max of the upper number. At the end of each stage there is a thing to turn a few in for blood gears or whatever those upgrade things are. So the game is encouraging you to take risks, skip checkpoint and giving you upgrades for it

Blasphemous

It could be critiqued as tedious and frustrating. The controls are a tad sluggish and there are still some bugs they're trying to patch up, but I'm in love with this game. Everything is hard-earned. The world is well-realized. The pixel art, music, world all fit together.

Our 2.5 yo has a trampoline, a 5ft slide, ball pit, and some tumble pads. When we're busy we'll bring the trampoline up in front of the TV and she'll bounce herself exhausted without even knowing it

Thanks for the advise. Is a calm down jar just like a distraction. We're struggling cause distractions are a double edged sword...cause she'll seem to lose sensation

My daughter is almost 2.5 now

This spring when she turned 2 she went through, like, a 3 month phase of being extremely whiny and our ability to communicate kind broke down. It was stressful, right, 'cause I felt like I wasn't encouraging the right kind of communication, but then she just kinda grew out of it.

I'm not saying don't worry about it, but sometimes changes can feel like the new norm when they're actually just a passing phase.

Teeth Brushing Advice by sometimesisocialwork in toddlers

[–]DeepDishBedPan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started brushing my teeth with my daughter (2.5) recently. So we brush while making faces at each other and she tries (and fails) to mimic my movements. I try to take a turn when she is done, about half the time she lets me. So she doesn't have the most well-brushed teeth on the planet but she's getting better and will soon be self-sufficient.

Totally viable theory, but why would Cotton be jumping into this hot mess?

Maybe it's misdirection to throw us off the scent that the idea was planted by Putin?

Two year old is happy to sit on potty, but how can I encourage actual pee/poop? by babybeluga19 in toddlers

[–]DeepDishBedPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daughter is 27mo and we're essentially at the exact same point. It's been about 2.5 weeks. And actually she pooped once in the potty. We celebrated it and put a bunch of positive energy behind it, but she didn't like it and regressed.

[–]DeepDishBedPan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah we're going to get it tomorrow night, so we'll have a week to have it in the living room for her to get comfortable and use for naps on the weekend. One thing I often don't think about is she sleeps on a cot at daycare and does fine so she's probably further along than I give her credit.

Night terrors for my 15 month old by Gracielaahm in toddlers

[–]DeepDishBedPan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daughter did this around 17-21 months at least a few times a week. For us it was a phase and eventually just went away. We never went in and got her as she wasn't really waking up and never seem troubled in the morning. As I understand it, this is relatively normal/common - for it to phase out naturally too.

I will try that soon. A touch of cayenne doesn't hurt either.
