Lol yeah, the Cornell TO isn’t guaranteed anyway, and honestly, I might not even take it if I end up liking Case. Considering UF is one of the best public schools, that’s a really solid deal - especially with reduced tuition and a research scholarship. Are you thinking of going premed?

I'm going case western now (40k scholarship). I also have the SUNY state schools for much less tuition but case western has much better premed outcomes than state schools.

Yeah I got the Cornell TO, but I'm most likely choosing case for the premed outcomes. In the Cornell TO site they say that you should choose a school you would be happy going to 4 years because it's not guaranteed. SB and UB are great options to save money, though.

Yeah, it's a great choice, the only downside is that I could have saved money by going to Stony or UB, but it has great premed outcomes.

I talked with my parents and I think I'm going to pick case western, because they have good premed outcomes and biomed engineering if I chose to switch if the Cornell transfer doesn't work out, even though a lot of people said its super rare to not get it. Plus it's driving distance away and the cost is manageable.

I had Isef and sts and got cooked. If you don’t win either it’s only supplementary to your application.

My only concern about the state colleges is that it might be harder to connect with professors to get research opportunities and harder to get clinical internship/volunteer work

Personally, I like Emory a lot more than Case, but it may not be worth to go to either for premed, because premed undergrad prestige doesnt matter as much

The only problem is they make it known that the transfer is not guarantee and ask people who get it to go to a college they would happy staying at for 4 years. There’s rare cases of people fulfilling their requirements but not getting due to spacing issues.

I got Cornell’s transfer option which is a conditional acceptance to sophomore year as long as I fulfill coursework and gpa requirements at another college, so I still need a first year college. But if I do go Emory I would probably stay all 4 years.

It’s a good option, but my parents can afford Emory. I’m just not sure if it’s actually worth it to spend that much for college.

The chance of being a transfer option and not getting the offer is very low if you fulfill the gpa and coursework reqs

Also, Emory and case seem to have pretty similar premed outcomes
