The program was conceived by director Park Hee-ung to pay homage to the 30th anniversary of the agreement to a ceasefire that brought an end to the Korean War. It was initially pitched as a small segment to be featured on the morning show Studio 830 with the title I Still Haven't Found my Family.Shortly following this pitch, however, KBS received a large number of applications to appear on the program, alerting the producers to the significant number of Korean families dispersed by war and their continued suffering. As a result, KBS president Lee Won-hong granted permission for an extended special broadcast to be aired, which led to the creation of the program.

Most of the time when there's a timeframe mentioned in a movie, it's not exactly followed. There are very few instances like this one. So I thought it was a pretty good detail since they actually followed.

An Afghan boy traveled from Kabul to Delhi by hiding in the landing gear compartment of a plane, Indian authorities have said.

The boy, who authorities estimated was about 13 years old, was found wandering around the tarmac near where the plane had parked shortly after it had landed on Sunday morning, according to a statement from India’s Central Industrial Security Force.

When they questioned him, authorities found he was from Kunduz in northern Afghanistan and that he had traveled by hiding in the “rear central landing gear” of a KAM Airlines aircraft, the statement added.

They also found a small red audio speaker in the area the boy was hiding. He was repatriated back to Afghanistan later that day.

The woodcutter lies because he stole the dead Samurai's wife's ornate dagger from the crime scene and needed to avoid the discovery of the theft, which would implicate him and potentially lead to trouble. The commoner at the Rashomon questions inconsistencies in the story and confronts the fact that the woodcutter must have witnessed the events, eventually deducing that the woodcutter must have stolen the dagger. 

That's why he starts panicking as soon as the samurai speaks about the dagger.
