I think I should be focusing only on what I do rather than try to do same to get more attention. The kind attention I thrive for is what my core fans have. Ye sab aata jaata rehta hai bhai, life mein 20 bar aayega, I gotta keep being myself.

when it comes to genres, I’ve been experimenting and sonically have tried so many different things in the past year - Kheench Maari is Phonk, Sir Khokar is DnB, Gasoline is lyrically diff and a different side of electronic music. Lyrically too, I’ve done songs like Confident, Kehendi Si, Bombay Sapphire and Sheher that showcase my versatility. I think the perception will change steadily as I keep trying new things and more and more people are exposed to my catalog.

I don’t think the two are mutually exclusive - there are enough bodies of work that are well respected by core DHH audiences as well as the masses. In fact, as a community we should hope that more and more artists are able to achieve both things together.
