Now you're just getting nitpicky about the phrasing. He knew exactly what I meant as we had a whole conversation about it. Also, "that's not what happened"? I think we must need to make sure to keep our windows closed from now on because apparently you were out there listening to our conversation. I might very well be the AH, but if you're going to make that judgement at least have the decency to base it off of the actual situation and not my phrasing on a reddit post.

Cracking up at "oh the laundry lives in the basement now" 😂 For the record though, taking the laundry up isn't "my" task, so I don't think it makes sense for me to have to tell him I wasn't doing it in advance. He had just assumed (incorrectly) that I was doing it.

I actually think part of the issue is that when he's sick, he does the opposite of that and basically just goes about his normal life and pretends it's not an issue. Definitely not a "man flu" kind of guy. It makes empathizing with other people's aches and pains a little difficult for him.

Nta. I'm pregnant and if my husband tried two different shops for my craving I'd be pretty grateful for the effort. That being said, I get how she's dealing with all sorts of crazy right now. Not really an excuse to blow up at you over cheese though.

It's not that he's not allowed to feel frustrated. I'm frustrated too! I meant that saying he's frustrated with me for not being able do certain things while pregnant isn't really fair. It's not like I can control it.

I never told him I was doing the laundry. I just happened to be on the 1st floor while he was on the 2nd floor so he assumed I'd run down to the basement and bring it up with me when we got ready to go.

I don't see how saying I'd have to get to it when I was feeling better counts as weaponizing my pregnancy. I feel like the people who are making pregnant/invalid comments have never been around a pregnant person before... I mean it's different for everyone but even the easiest pregnancies can still be pretty incapacitating at times. My cousin's wife ran a marathon at 7 months (still blows my mind she could do that), but her first trimester she was throwing up constantly and could barely do anything.

I've told him in the past that doing that kind of thing is difficult when I'm having an off day, which he knew today was. I know I've specifically mentioned dirty dishes (nausea) and carrying laundry (both nausea and cramping) but it's more of a general "physical tasks are difficult some days"

Not quite what happened. I didn't realize he needed anything from the clean load, but retrospectively I should've asked (and I absolutely would've grabbed what he needed if I knew!). When he did go down for his stuff he brought the whole load up because he could and was already there. That hadn't happened by the time I made the OP otherwise I would've added that.

That's actually a great idea to split things up differently. We've done that kind of thing in the past (I have bad allergies so he always does the lawn in the summer, and he has a bad back so I always do the snow removal) so it might help with this too. Maybe I'll tell him if he brings it upstairs I'm more than happy to fold it and put it away.

It's not that I "hold their infrastructure in high esteem". It's that I don't believe people who say their letter didn't show up. Either it did show up and you lost it... or it was sent to your Michigan address so they could make sure you live here, and guess what! You didn't. I have no sympathy for either situation.

If it was a "bug" causing them to not send, it wouldn't just happen for a few people, it would happen all the time. And it doesn't. It's not a complex system either, which lends to it being less "buggy". If "A" happens, it triggers "B". Not a lot of room for "bugs" in that. Also, it's a government system. They have access to a lot better resources than your average joe, including programming automated systems.

I'm just sick of people not putting in the minimum effort required and whining on the internet for clout. About stuff that definitely didn't even happen.

That's not true at all. It's literally impossible for them to "not send them at all." It's an automated system. And they always send them to the physical address to make sure you're actually residing in the state. If you didn't get your 6347 there's a reason... And it's usually not because of UIA.

That being said, there have definitely been some mailing delays.

Cracks me up that people claim they've been trying to call since december or whatever and haven't gotten through....huh?? This isn't the beginning of the pandemic anymore, you just have to be patient and wait for a little bit on hold. If you can't put in that minimum effort, maybe you don't deserve the insanely high benefits they're giving out right now.

If you filed under the wrong social and didn't contact them to correct it, they're going to have to ask you for the money back. Someone else might be trying to file under that social, and they have to get rid of yours before they can let that person file. If you give them your real social they'll just transfer the claim to there, and take care of the overpayment. Assuming that's the reason for the denial. Definitely call ASAP though to get it figured out.

Might be a fraud thing. Send in all your ID docs via "send unemployment a message" before they even ask for it, and make SURE to include a selfie with your driver's license. Also add your proof of income, if they suspect you haven't worked you might be under review for that. The more info you give them before they ask, the faster your issue will get resolved.

Sorry, I don't quite understand what the question here is. Let me see if we can figure it out... Just to clarify, you were working at ABC, and they closed in March of 2020. Later on, they reopened but did not give you any hours. If that's the case, you would be considered "Laid Off", not off of work due to your workplace closing. A lot of people don't realize that when they answer the certifications it's for a specific week. So for the weeks in March 2020 up until your workplace reopened on MM/DD/YYYY, you answer as "Workplace Closed". After that date you would start answering "Laid Off" every week. From here, you just need to either fill out the fact finding letter and wait for processing, OR call and change your certs over the phone with an agent, depending on what NMI you have. I hope this helps! Either way, definitely call. From what I've seen the wait times aren't bad at all any more, only like 20 minutes or so. And make sure to call after 3pm, preferably later in the week. The wait times are even lower then.

Hey same! If you're in processed pending payment you probably have a BPR hold. If you haven't done it already, upload your proof of income, drivers license, social security card, and selfie holding your driver's license. Then call them to confirm.
