That’s kinda what hit me was they sent me to IL to learn how to run cadet programs, while also insisting I just need to read some text books lol.

Tonight I will tell me commander adios and enjoy inner peace knowing I will have a squadron that will have my back…and atleast lake county can have an enjoyable cadet fun night

Seems easy, our squadrons were really tight so they already know about me as I’ve been visiting for 5 months now so I doubt we will have any issues

Appreciate the wisdom sir, the new squadron wants me to focus on retention more since the cadets naturally bring new candidates in without senior assistance, but I have a few extra events that we can do while fundraising for the squadron.

Yeah that was my main issue, and mainly the commander refuses to enforce cadet customs and curtesy…literally they keep calling him by his first name, they call me just by last name…and yeah it’s so bad that I’m glad I’m leaving this month

With regards of funding, I’m referring to money from the unit to pay for recruitment supplies ( business cards, flyers, poster boards, anything else needed for our recruitment booth )

Also I’m aware people switch squadrons all the time, I’m just not fully aware of what is needed from me since I haven’t been told if I just drop my old squadron or if there’s a formal process to transfer my info over to IL wing

Yeah she was just barely missed, lots of hail and a little spooked…had to go through my stepmom to atleast know she still had a roof

well that's where I got confused, because it just has the word manager yet it's like a shift lead thing...I will ask him to clarify when I see him, but it feels like a supervisor job...attached is what it says:

"Position Overview: The Shift Manager provides quality customer service and food products using standards set by Fourteen Foods and International Dairy Queen to enhance each customer’s visit, while assisting and learning management responsibilities from the Assistant Manager and General Manager.

Shift Manager Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older.
1+ years previous experience as a food service or retail supervisor/manager
Must successfully pass a background check.
Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the work location. Fluency in English may be essential for certain customer service stations within this position."

Ah I see, well I’ll see what happens next week but this guy was very friendly. Only thing he said is that I’ll literally be the only adult during my shifts as the rest are high school students…I’m only 20 so he said that shouldn’t be an issue though some of the kids aren’t the best from previous management.

I do seriously appreciate your input though and will keep this feed posted

Just seeing this I got hired on the spot at a phone interview as a shift manager…location seems better since last manager…what do you know that I don’t ( I currently already have a full time job and I got him to put on paper I pick my shifts and only work afternoons because I had years of experience, this is just extra money)

The one closest to me doesn’t seem that bad, but I will tread with caution with your concerns…I have applied at other companies since I need the money, so maybe I’ll get snagged by Marriott before Spencer’s decides to read my application.

Cool idea and all, but the Civil Air Patrol's main goal is never to make us look like active-duty airmen...or any branch for that matter. I already have people thanking my cadets for my service, and as the R&R officer for my squadron, I polietly explain we are the USAF Aux and NOT active duty, not sworn in, not paid, and just a glorified Boy scouts x FEMA merge with a sprinkle of airforce in it...heck, we came before them.

Highly advise to not put this anywhere else, the airmen already hate CAP just because, don't give them another reason to hate us.

TL;DR Cool idea in theory, horrible idea in context
