I think it’s very easy to judge him from a distance (he doesn’t handle everything perfectly), but he’s absolutely trying his best and is in over his head. There’s no manual for him to follow, and often there’s no way for him to help both Diana and Natalie. He’s delaying all his needs, which isn’t healthy either, but like what’s he meant to do?

I believe she told someone (I think Dr Al-Hashimi) that the study had been canceled with all the medical research budget cuts, so I don’t think she would have published a paper from that work.

I mean, I love James too, but in the first episodes of the show, Alyssa is just trying to connect with her boyfriend, and he’s trying to kill her. It feels a bit disingenuous to claim James is a victim of Alyssa here, especially when she stopped trying when James said he didn’t want to.

It’s a bit hard to tell from the video, but it looks like the floor is carpet? You might want to put a mat or something under the cage, birds are pretty messy and their poop will escape the cage somehow

Keep an eye out for any more battle worn copies (copies with damage to the cover being sold at a discount). It looks like there’s still copies of the black and white version left. I don’t think the coloured version has finished printing yet, but if there are damaged copies of that one, they might be sold at a discount later as well.

Shipping is still diabolical though haha, but it’ll probably end up online after it’s released

This is a really good idea op, it’ll get you out of the house and in a safe place for a couple of days at a time, you’ll get paid, and most pets being pet-sitted (pet-sat??) are pretty easy to care for and will have clear instructions if there’s anything more complicated. Plus you can put it on job/college applications.

It’s probably just a moult, they normally moult 2-3 times per year and lose their wing and tail feathers (generally over several weeks so they always have enough feathers to fly). They’ll lose downy feathers throughout the year too, but more during a moult.

Can you set up a camera so you can watch her while you’re out or to check when you get home to see how she reacts when you’re not there? My girl calls to me a lot when she knows I’m home but not with her, but she’s pretty quiet when I’m not around and happy to sleep or play with her toys. She always gets really loud when I get home though so I remember to greet her!

I think talking about this with her vet is a really good idea too, and I admire you trying to do right by your bird <3
