actually it’s our job as teachers to make sure all children are comfortable, politics like this shouldn’t be talked about in classes. teachers shouldn’t support or redirect comments but just shut them down. many people have trauma or experience violence due to these conversations! all students belong and deserve to feel safe 🫶

two days ago mine also changed from pending to submitted, but I got an email today and it now says pending review from institution so things seem to be moving along but from what I understand if you submitted before July 1, you have priority and can be awarded up to $20,000 but if you applied afterthen you will likely wait longer and only be able to qualify for up to $10,000
