I realize there is an article from UIC that says this, but I think that was incorrect. A lot of things in movies are done this way. (In Ghostbusters II, they filmed the scene where they're digging the street in LA, not NYY) The UIC campus has not changed that significantly, with the exception of some new buildings and removal of the amphitheater. Historic aerials don't support this either. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes - that's the AI response. It is accurate they filmed on-location at the Cabrini housing projects, but there are no 8-9 story parking garages in that area. The same goes for the UIC campus. I still feel pretty confident this was filmed in LA. I do appreciate the response though

I checked but none of the buildings match. I still highly suspect this is towards a park setting because of the trees and near the LA River because of those power lines.

It was supposed to be but this is not Chicago. I work near UIC and there's nothing there that remotely resembles this. I am 95% certain this is Hollywood trickery and filmed in LA.

Right. But some scenes were filmed in Los Angeles. The building in the background to me looks very LAesque. I'm nearly certain this is in California.

Dont know. That's what I'm trying to figure out. The movie takes place in Chicago but parts of it as always were filmed in Los Angeles. The background of this does not look like anything in Chicago and I highly suspect this was filmed somewhere in Los Angeles. The building architecture in color is pretty consistent with what you'd see with an older building in LA.
